So far this has been a fantastic gun. Right out of the box I put 100 rounds through it with no malfunctions. Since I have probably put 400-500 more through the pistol and still have had 0 malfunctions. The SR9c is comfortable and accurate. I'm really enjoying practicing with it!

I read alot of reviews before buying this gun for my girlfriend. I have to say i am very impressed... out of the box it was more accurate than any of my other guns when i first got them, It was easy to shoot combat accurate at 50 yards with no problem.

Awesome ccw!!! Hope I never get into a situation where I must use this weapon. But if I do I know without a doubt that it will perform flawlessly!! wife bought it for me Oct 2011 for birthday, yes she is awesome, and since then at least 1k rounds through it. not one problem EVER! carry it daily iwb holster.. not too heavy.. The pinky extension is awesome a compact weapon with a full size feel in the hand! very well made.. keep it up Ruger... and Buds is definitely the best price and shipping was extremely fast... like other posts, clean gun thoroughly before firing for the first time!! Love it----now on to the M4 shopping---can I get a Heck Yeah!

Great purchase, great gun, great experience with Bud's. I was stunned at the obvious attention to detail on this 9mm - unfortunately, I will always judge every other weapon by the workmanship from Ruger!

I'm really satisfied about the purchase of my new sr9c. Shipping was fast. But I honestly was kind of bummed to see that after a day of purchasing this gun, the price of it went down by $8. I know it's just $8, but money's kind of tight and I just thought it'll be better used towards the transfer fee my local dealer charges. But I'll be fine about the price change after I'm done shooting at the range. I'd still recommend bud's for best prices online though! :)

After more than one year on the fence between the SR9c and a couple of other handguns (like the Walther PPS) I finally ordered the Ruger SR9c. First time ordering a firearm online. I could not find the blued version anywhere around here, so I decided to give it a try. Price wise, I ended up saving a bit, not much, what with the transfer fees ($32) and the shipping insurance, etc. Still, not a bad deal. Ordered on thursday, gun was at the local FFL on Monday, process took 15 minutes and I was out the door with my new toy. The SR9c is a well designed, easy to conceal, easy to shoot handgun. I decided to go with Ruger because I have put thousands of rounds through a P95 and love it. Well, glad I did, because I got some unexpected trouble. After cleaning the gun I took it to the range and put 150 rounds of Federal 9mm down range. No problem cycling, feeding or extracting, BUT the trigger got stuck back 5 times. It would not reset. A new round was chambered, but the trigger was stuck back. After manually cycling the slide, on I went. Five times. Went home rather disappointed, further cleaned the gun, this time got into the striker channel, etc, no grease, no extra oil. Another 100 rounds, another three trigger failures to reset... VERY disappointed, especially because I have been pretty much convincing Ruger is the best out there. So maybe I got a lemon. A quick search on line shows that this is a known problem, with several people noticing. Many, most, don't. My luck. It goes back tomorrow to Ruger. Maybe I should have bought the Walther, but will wait until I get it back. I still trust Ruger will do the right thing. Five stars for accuracy (8 out of 10 rounds on a sillouette at 60 YARDS), ergonomics, design and operation (despite the bear of a double recoil spring). 1 star for reliability (the one I got, I don't want to generalize, great reports out there on this gun).
