Bought this gun back in April 2012, started feeding it every ammo I had right out of the box. No FTE or FTF. Can't complain one bit, ATI/GSG guns are money well spent. And of course,Buds did a great job with shipping.

You get what you pay for. Grips are not wooden. they are plastic. Fit and finish are poor. Overall build quality is poor.

The German Sports Gun 1911 22 Cal. is a good pistol. The best of the current 1911 22s, in M H. O. It is well made , and operates flawlessly, when using better quality ammo. It is also very accurate. I am impressed ! On the down side , the walnut grips are not really wood , the are some kind of compressed sawdust , with no grain or finish. You would be well advised to get the model 2210M11B with the plastic grips for $6 less , as you will no dough want to replace the grips with something better. The "wooden" grips are not worth having . I am a little surprised they put such a grip on such a nice gun . It took 18 days to get the gun from Buds, normally Buds is a lot faster than that . It was over the Christmas Holidays that may explain the delay. All in all, I would rate the gun 5 stars , as the only drawback to the gun is easily remedied.

Great 1911 pea shooter. 1 FTE out of the first 10 rounds of Federal Target and that was it. Put a couple hundred rounds through it. Cycles nice. Sights were good. You can spend money on something that might be more accurate like a Ruger MIII Competition but this one might be more fun to shoot. The magazine is solid. I could shoot this all day. There is alot of writing on the slide. Would prefer to have it plain.
