Purchased this 1911 22lr in June. Buds service was fine, but the is gun another story. 1st 100 rounds it done good, after that, with every mag. shot 3 rounds would fail to chamber or would not fire. Called Chiappa to return it, they would not pay to have it shipped. Took two months to get it back. Shot 3 mags. through it, so for, so good. Would not buy another one.

Ordered this gun with mixed emotions. Reviews seem to be all over the place from Buyers. All I can say is that , for me , I am glad I did get it. I did what the manual said to do. Cleaned , oiled etc. Broke it in and ran different ammo through it. Firearm works with CCI standard, M-22, Federal Auto Match , CCI Tactical. Probably others but as we all know 22 is not easy to find. For the price it has been great. Accurate , feels good to my hand and looks good as well. Bottomline my experience is positive.

I purchased this 1911 .22 from Buds in Jan. And did not get to fire it until recently. As always you cannot beat Buds in price and service. The prblem I have with it is that it jammed every time . The problem I belive is that it has a weak ejector spring. If you buy this gun besure to check to check it before you buy it.

Very nice gun ran around 200 rounds through it today and it preformed flawlessly with Remington yellow jackets. The only thing I would change are the magazine's they are plastic , but comes with two so still a great deal.It is a little lighter than a regular 45 but what the heckler.

It is hard to give this product 5 stars but its partially my fault, I just didn't know enough about handguns, I ve dealt with rifles all my life. I got a lot of FTF with this gun and its very dependent on the ammo you use but also part of the machinery of the gun. I ve had 2 jams, with Eley Edge ammo, I got half of my magazine FTF, I had a little better luck with CCI Stingers and Hollow Points. I was very enthusiastic about owning a 1911 type gun and one that wasn't expensive and in a caliber of ammo that was super cheap, so it seemed like a real steal. However, this gun is only for fun or teaching someone how to shoot. Sure you could possibly use this as a self defense/carry gun but you would have to be a master marksman because I ve shot this thing at phone books and two will stop anything I throw at it from 10 yards away. Like I said part of this was due to my lack of experience with handguns, the same 22 ammo shot out of my rifle does more damage and way more accurate but thats a given. I have to say the gun really looks cool and seems like all the other 1911s, I just wish I saved my money for a larger caliber 1911. Again, the gun isn't probably the best for trying to save you or your families life but it is fun for plinking or training someone else how to use a handgun.

smooth transaction by Buds guns. This plinker is decent for the price. I've done my research and this is lowest price I've seen. functions like a 1911 but the internals are vastly different. the trigger is stiff for a 1911. the sights are horrible when compared to a modern firearm. the rear sight tends to move upwards making the operator shoot low. the product functions well. but a few malfunctions happen often. maybe 3 jams for every 80 rnds (stove pipes, double feeding, brass stuck in chamber etc..). other than that, the gun works great for cheap shooting.
