This is a beautiful firearm that is built like a tank on an ar style platform. It is a little heavy, but I like that way. Large capacity mags with no jams or misfeeds. (I use only high quality ammo such as CCI or equivalent.) Installed iron sights are great.

this is a great gun for the money, bought a couple promag 30 round magazines, cci mini mags, vortex strikefire scope and this gun is dead on accurate 1" groups.....can't be more satisfied

Reliable action with a smooth and light trigger. Can use aftermarket mags (black dog) without issues. I enjoy shooting it with a small red dot. It is lightweight and compact with a foldable stock. My upper handguard rail was a little crooked since it is about 1/16" taller than the rail on the upper receiver. Has a removable flashider which is good if you want to swap it out. Safety switch is a little tight to rotate but manageable. Mag release button is small and not as easy to push, unlike the ones on the AR15. Bolt release is not very useful since it does not lock all the way back when empty. That causes the mag to not drop or come out freely. A full aluminum upper receiver is definitely a plus as well as the AR style takedown that make maintenance and cleaning easy.

This gun shoots very well, extremely accurate and fairly cheap to shoot considering the .22 caliber rounds. Haven't regretted this purchase for a second. Buds was great as always, fast shipping fair pricing and great customer service. This was my first firearm purchase from Buds. Since then I have purchased two pistols as well...(S&W Sigma .40, and a S&W J-frame .38)...I will continue to purchase my firearms at again Buds!

Probably the best semi-auto 22 available anywhere. Has the weight and feel of a larger caliber rifle and much more affordable to shoot. You can shoot all day without breaking your wallet. I had a few feed jams to start out but I think that was more a problem with the newness of the magazines than with the rifle itself. Once a full load was cycled through the magazines each one performed flawlessly and had no other feed issues. Seems to like the Winchester-X ammo best, great reliability and grouping. I installed a set of Magpul MBUS sights instead of the factory supplied sights, along with a Tasco ProPoint red dot scope (medium height UTG quick release mount to co-witness...), and a Grip-Pod vertical fore grip. Right out of the box it was punching the center of the paper at 50 yards, didn't have to touch a thing. I wish all my rifles were like that. The build quality on the 522 is typical Sig, outstanding. I picked up a bunch of extra Black Dog mags to pre-load, not wanting to waste time at the range loading mags. Sprayed some silicone into the mags to make 'em nice and slippery feeders. In fact spray silicone is a great gun lube overall, extreme high temp compatibility and stands up to a full day of shooting without drying out or collecting dirt. Bud's service has been outstanding with all my purchases, the only way to go. Their new retail shop is very nice as well. I think it use to be a former International Truck dealership if I remember correctly, so there's plenty of room for a large inventory and range.
