Pros: Extremely hard to beat for the price. Big Loop Lever Saddle Ring Mines in .45 colt and even shooting high power rounds it is extremely manageable. Decent looking wood used Lots of fun to shoot Will make you feel like John Wayne, or Steve McQueen depending on who you relate the \'92 to more. Trigger pull was nice, no idea on weight Cons: Seems wrong to have an American legend built in another country. Big loop has less than smooth edges, it\'s not noticeable during normal operation but if you like spinning your ranch hand you will want a leather wrap for the loop or to do some sanding. Pain in the ass to load, the loading gate is very stiff and scratches the hell out of your brass. I assume this will get better with use. My Marlin (before they got bought out by freedom arms) was perfect out of the box, but it was also 3 times the price. Awkward to shoot the first time, you quickly get used to it though, just feels odd the first time you shoot a lever gun that you can\'t shoulder. Very nice to shoot one handed The safeties. It does not just have 1 additional safety, it has 2, and both of them are stupid and pointless. I get it, safety first, but the \'92 was never an \"un-safe\" gun to begin with and there is absolutely no reason to have not one but two additional safeties on the firearm. That little spinny thing on top is a gaudy eye sore and the key lock on the hammer is just silly. I\'m not going to carry a custom allen wrench around with me just so I can activate and deactivate my gun. All in all, for the price, you can\'t beat it - especially with how fun it is to shoot. I just wish Taurus, and other companies, would stop stacking safeties on guns. Too Long; Didn\'t Read = BUY IT

I purchased the rossi ranch hand last month. Only took couple weeks to get it. I love it. It is everything I was expecting. the gun is easy to maneuver and load. I have been looking for one for a long time that I could afford. I would purchase from Buds again. thanks, d. curfman

The Ranch Hand (in 45 Colt) is a lot of fun! The quality is very good, and Bud\'s pricing was the lowest we found (and free shipping, no sales tax, and my FFL doesn\'t charge me for transfer - can\'t beat that!). The gun worked perfectly right out of the box (after a cleaning of course). The only down side was that the sights were way off - 3\" left and 3\" high at 7 yards. We were able to adjust windage without a problem, but the elevation adjustment required some filing of the rear sight. These are buckhorn sights that are meant for a longer barrel rifle, not a 12\" barrel and they should have used a different sight... However, quite usable with adjustment and when you learn the proper sight picture for the gun. I have tried \"store bought\" ammo and also my own reloads and it performs well no matter what I feed it (255 and 185 grain plated FP\'s mostly). The recoil with 45 Colt is quite manageable for both me and my wife (actually pleasant). After the first firing session, be sure to check all screws for tightness. As with any gun they can loosen up. This one takes some explaining at the range - \"Yes it looks like a rifle. Yes it is legal. Yes, it is a handgun.\" Hold it like a rifle with support hand back near the trigger guard, bent elbow, and placed where it would be if it actually had a stock.

Product was everything I expected. It was packaged nicely, sent to a local gun dealer in my area and the transition went smoothly. The Ranch Hand is of good quality. I have yet to shoot it because of the weather in my area, but I am sure it will be everything I am expecting. The whole transaction, from purchase to pick up was easy and a pleasure to deal with. Bud's deals in quality products.
