I've gotten three LCR 357 revolvers. Not sure if I just like 'em, or if I keep coming back for more punishment. To tell the truth, I've been shooting 38 specials in 'em. They'll get the job done. I got the .357 revolvers for the added steel frame heft and durability. A disappointment is Ruger's parts policy on this revolver. Of all the parts that make up the completed gun, only one single part is able to be purchased. And that part is the screw for the grips. You cannot even buy a pin for the front sight, or a front sight for that matter.... There are some plastic components. One that sort of gets me a little riled up about is the plastic plug that holds the ejection rod's forward detent and spring in place. That part cannot be replaced without removing the barrel. Removing the barrel is... a rather irksome affair, requiring some rather specialized tooling. No checking on my part, but I cannot see anyone but Ruger themselves having the tooling to do that. So, what's that mean to you and me? Any refinish that requires oven cure cannot be accomplished. The plastic would melt. On the other hand, if you don't mind your finish getting beat up, or Krylon touch ups... these little guns shoot GREAT. The double action triggers are smooth as the inside of your girlfriends thigh! They point well, and the sights are pretty darn good for s snubbie. Got a lot of snubbies here. J-frame Smiths, SP101s, Charter Arms... the LCR holds it own very well. The overall light weight, and snag free profile... its an easy revolver to pocket for daily carry - which I do on occasion (Kahr PM45 being my usual). That's about it. Stellar shipping and customer service, always from Bud's on all transactions... no issues at all ever with Bud's.

Great service great gun no hiccups no problems pay a little more to get the 357. Practice with 38 special shells and have the option to shoot .357 magnum.

The LCR .357 is an awesome little revolver. Its easy to shoot. Surprisingly controllable, with moderate recoil. I have only one issue. The first time at the range the gun was only able to ignite 4 .38 rounds out of 25 attempts. It was not able to ignite any .357 rounds. Thinking I would have to send it back to Ruger for warranty work I decided to take a closer look. During the assembly process the firing pin plug was not tightened, and seated preventing the hammer from fully striking the firing pin. After tightening that plug. Another trip to the range proved that the gun was working flawlessly. The double action is smooth (But its no colt Python). Its accurate with .38 and .357 rounds. Overall a great carry gun that I recommend to anyone.

I was looking for a lighter CCW as I am a big guy and prefer to have something with power behind it and easy to hide. The LCR 357 I bought from Bud's was all that and a bag of chips. This has been an excellent purchase. I love the gun, the weight even loaded and the simplicity honestly. I have put many rounds through it and surprised at the accuracy at 25 ft from what most consider snub nose. From other reviews all I have heard is the punch it must pack. Again being very honest, I really didn't experience that. Having big hands and the Tamer Hogue grip along with the hammerless, I have been surprised how much I have really enjoyed this gun so far. On a scale from 1 to 10, it is a strong 9 in my book.
