Very satisfied with Buds service over the years.

The rifle I was received was not even close to the described condition of very good. I now regret not refusing to accept it in the first place. The front sight hood is badly bent to the point of nearly being unusable. The rear sight block is not straight causing the rear sight to be very slanted. Between the damaged front and crooked rear sights, I would be amazed if I can even get this thing on paper. The bore is bright but the stock is in very poor condition and has a crack in the wrist. I am aware that these are used surplus rifles and I do not expect perfection, but these problems should exist on a weapon being advertised as being in very good condition. I have made several purchases from Buds that have all been problem free until this one. I will not buy another used weapon from anyone again without having at least seen photos beforehand.

I guess I am one of the lucky ones.... the Yugo SKS I received was in unfired condition, brand new. I haven't shot it yet, but I've cleaned it of the cosmoline, and it's beautiful. The stock and finish are unmarred, and it looks like it just came from the factory. It did take a while to receive it, but oh well. Thanks Buds!

F3rd Purchase with Buds and I love the consistency!!! Quality is always certain when ordering from Bud's! THe rifle came in great shape! It is used, but everything is in almost mint condition! The Bluing is great, the barrel is clear, and all the parts are in excellent condition. The stock was equal to that seen in the picture, with no major pits, just your expected nicks and scratches you would get on all military surplus! However, the finish is worn and it will need a refinishing job, but it's lock of the draw when it comes to the stocks. Does come loaded in cosmoline, but again, that's to be expected. Once I got it all cleaned up, the true beauty of this rifle comes out! Don't know yet if I'm going to mod it up, or just refinish the original stock, and haven't gotten it out to the range yet, as it took about 3 cleaning sessions to finally get every bit of cosmoline off, but I'm pretty picky about that. Just make sure you dissassemble the bolt and get it all out of there. Overall great rifle, beautifully preserved and worth every penny! Plus, you feel a little more connected to it because you have to put your own blood, sweat, and tears into this rifle, and there's nothing better than a weapon you feel truly connected to!

Got this a while back and just now getting around to reviewing it because of mods I wanted to make first... If this wasn't brand new, it was close... once the gunk was cleaned off it was in amazing condition... I elected to swap the sights out to get a longer sight radius before taking it to the range (Tech Sights TS200)... Was phenominal... holding 100 yd 1 inch groups from a bench using Fiocchi 123gr factory ammo... Looking forward to seeing what some 150gr reloads will do... Bud's once again came through with a great weapon at a great price with flawless customer service...

the gun is really nice. It fits the hand well. Shoots very good . updated 3 months after i got i LOVE this gun i did mod it up but the grouping are great and have shoot over 1000 rounds of surplus ammo no problums . i have shot it up to 100 yard with iron sights just got scope going to take it to the 200 yd range very soon. IF THINKING ABOUT THIS GUN GET IT

Just what I wanted and expected, but is kind of hard to clean all the grease.. but after all is just to keep the gun from rusting... Buds service just as good as i experienced on my last purchase.. no issues whit my FFL... The gun fires great and is really accurate..

I picked up my Yugo SKS M59/66 from the gun shop today and was amazed by the condition of the gun. After placing my online order I went to talk to the guys at the shop to make sure that they did in fact work with Bud's on a regular basis and would do the transfer. They assured me that they did and that everything should go smoothly. While I was at the shop (not one of my regular ones) I happened to notice a Yugo SKS that they had on display. It looked nice, very nice, and it was priced below the one I had ordered from Bud's. I bought it on the spot and started wondering if I had made a mistake by ordering online. Well, when I opened the package today I was not disappointed. This gun is absolutely beautiful ! (The owner of the shop even said if I was ever going to see a gun nicer than the one I bought from him- this would be it) Not only is the gun pristine, it came with a bag full of goodies: an extra cleaning kit in addition to the one still in the buttstock, a sling, and a number of leather ammo and supply pouches, all in mint condition .WOW! I will be dealing with Buds in the future. AAAA++++

Picked up my rifle from the ffl Monday, cleaned off the cosmoline last night and shot it today. I am extremely satisfied with the weapon. it was rated as VERY GOOD but after cleaning it up and taking it to the range I have know idea why it wasnt rated as excellent. even the FFL was impressed. needles to say I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to doing business with Buds again!

Received my sks yesterday. Bud's service was great as usual this is my second purchase from buds. I used the layaway plan with this rifle and it still only took three days from when I paid it off. Awesome looking rifle once I got off all the cosmoline came with a bag of accessories. I cant wait to get it out to the range.

It's a great rifle, complete with loads of accessories! It does take some time and a lot patience to clean off all the cosmoline. I was a little unsatisfied that it took Buds 8 days to "process" this weapon and when I tried to contact on day 6 and 7 there was no way to get in contact with a human being. I would do business with Buds due to there vast selection and low prices, but only if i was in no rush to receive the weapon.

I like Buds Guns, but this time there were some issues with order.Rifle came relatively fast , but without expected (like previous writer)leather sling,clip holder or ANY cleaning supply. Stock was kinda bit up too much for VG condition. Serial number did not match with invoice one. So far I had only good experience with Buds Guns. I hope to receive e-mail with explanations. Dispite my dissatisfaction with this order still recommend this dealer.

I just picked up my SKS rifle that I ordered from Bud's. I used the layaway plan and it worked out great. After reviewing the rifle, it is a quality firearm. Great shape, just as Bud's advertised. Brand new, I don't even think it's ever been fired. Very beautiful rifle. I couldn't be happier unless it was free. I am very happy with Bud's and will never buy retail again. I got this SKS rifle about 1 week ago. The shipping was fast and the transaction was flawless with budsgunshop. As soon as I received the rifle I gave it a good cleaning as it came with a lot of cosmoline due to the fact that it had been stored for quite a while. I have to say that the rifle is in excellent condition!! It has excellent bluing and everything just looks great! It came with a leather sling, manual, 2 clip holders, cleaning supplies outside the but stock and inside the butstock. This is a solid rifle! I took it to the range the next day and it shoots GREAT!!! The weight of the rifle makes recoil almost non-existent for a rifle of this caliber. It might tire you out if you will be doing some patrolling with this rifle since it is on the heavy side, but its a hell of a rifle! Very easy to clean and SOLID! I would buy again for sure, plus ammo for this rifle costs me about 5.69usd steel cased ammo which it would take and shoot it great!! Just cant beat it!
