I have fired approximately 300 rounds through the HiPoint 45acp and so far things are going well. The weapon seems to be fairly accurate. One must keep in mind this a $300.00 carbine and the fit, finish, and function are acceptable but not to the standard of say a Beretta CX4 Storm. Fun to shoot and I am anxiously waiting for the higher capacity magazines to become available form Red Ball. The 9 pd. weight is helpful in reducing recoil. The BSA red dot scope which came with the weapon when purchased is another story. The dial which turns the sight on and off and for higher or lower red dot intensity does not work properly. The only way to turn the scope off is to adjust the dial so it is sitting between the numerical clicks. Also, when firing, the red dot will occasionally disappear. To reactivate the red dot back into view the dial must be turned back and forth. I anticipate getting a lot of enjoyment from this weapon in the future.

The gun is a present for my son so it hasn't been fired yet. Easy to set up with the red dot scope. Great looking gun at a great price, now I want one.

Just picked up this Model 4595TSRD 2 days ago, have not even fired it yet but thought I would al least for now share my experience in dealing with BUDS GUN SHOP. Let me start out by saying they ROCK, had a few questions along the way and made numerous calls and e-mail or BUDS trouble shooting section and first of all they address my questions very quickly. I talked to Chris, James, Steve and some really nice girl never got her name but they were all professionals, nice, pleasant and refreshing to deal with. Now about the Hi-Point 45APC Carbine that I purchased, again I have not shot it yet and I ordered some optional parts for it and have been putting them on the last couple of days, muzzle brake, magazine holder for 2 clips, forearm fold down handle, and the Red Dot Scope had to be installed and now I need to zero that in soon as I get the time, also installed the included sling and swivels, easy as pie, removed the rear sights to make room for the RED DOT SCOPE. I either got the last one in the 45APC or they sold a bunch in a day because I was looking @ Buds web site and it showed not available, so I am glad I got this one. Pretty expressed with this carbine as far as the options, and things to make it your own. Can't wait to shoot it now. . . . and zerro the RED DOT SCOPE. I also yesterday ordered laser sight and flash light attachment for it yesterday, should be in in a few days. I've dealt with Buds Gun Shop on a Springfield M1-A Scout Squad before this one and that transaction went very well as well. Fast shipping great gun for the money shooting bullet in bullets at 15 yards

I just purchased this gun from Buds. I took it to the range, sighted the red dot sight in and ran a couple a hundred rounds through it. I had one malfunction, a double feed. I cleared it without problems. I found the gun to be very accurate and fun to shoot. For the money, you can't beat this gun. I love it.

Excellent little gun! I took it out of the box and installed the red dot scope. Out of 50 rounds, I was off by 1/2 inch at 75 yards with 6 shots! Perfection to me! Buds is the best!!

Awesome weapon, performed flawlessly right out of the box. Pretty good accuracy, recoil mild. I have no complaints other than the low magazine capacity. Put a hundred rounds through it with no issues, even with cheap reloads. Buds was great...I am very pleased with their fast shipping and friendly customer service.

Buds was great even with the delay due to the snow. Fired 200 rounds today with no issues. Great firearm for a great price. Looking forward to more range time.

Buds shipped quickly and easily, bought together with the JHP 45 from Hi-Point and it's a great package for the price. The wife loves shooting this and is impressed how easily she can handle it. Definitely a great weapon for the price, I've added a few accouterments from Hi-Point that just make it stand out. For the price, a great buy and I'm very happy.

Placed order 6/27 and received 7/9 so by the time I received it I was a little biased on giving a good review. With that said I took the rifle home today and mounted red dot , sling and wiped down. Purchased a box of 100 rd of Winchester ammo and headed to range to zero red dot. It's a small, not pretty and heavy rifle. That is where my complaints ended as I fired three rounds and was amazed how it felt. Took about 27 rounds to calibrate red dot at 20 then put a new target at 50. Grouping was tight and again I was impressed. After first 100 rounds not one misfire. Another thing I noticed today were the looks of awe I was getting at the range, guess not many people know about Hi point and didn't even know what it was. For the money I would recommend this rifle to anyone as a must have in the arsenal.

like always bud's is the best.... this hi-point is great, ran 500 rounds through and had no issues, the red dot is very nice and very easy to sight in... the accuracy is there, i was shooting a 2 inch grouping at 50 and 100 yards after i added a scope. this rifle is so easy to shoot i took my 15 year old sister and she was shooting a 3 inch grouping at 75 yards. she ran through 50 rounds with no problem,

Ordered this rifle online on Thursday and picked it up at Bud's on Monday. This gun is pure fun! It eats anything I feed it, including some OLD "flying ashtrays" I had laying around. It is accurate enough for close work and plinking (does a good job on bowling pins at 70 yards and has minimum recoil). My wife loves it and wants one of her own. A nice feature is that the BSA red dot cowitnesses the open sights without removing any parts from the stock configuration.

The Hi Point 4595 is a very good firearm. I just ran 200 rounds through mine. It performed flawlessly and shot amazingly well for a 45acp. The trigger pull is a bit stiff and could be smoother, but the accuracy is there. It impressed me enough that I may return and purchase the Hi Point 45acp pistol. I have not mounted the red dot sight but the open sights took very little adjustment to be hitting the "A" ring consistently at both 50 and 100 yards. If you love shooting 45acp, then this rifle is for you.

Happy with the hipoint very nice weapon for the price. buds good shipping as always but not happy with the increase on layaway from a 100 to 300. this was my 5th gun from them all using layaway. i guess im done with layaway. because i cant buy a 300 dollar gun everytime. it was to good to be true. free shipping is good. Hope they will change it back after the gun rush of 2012. will have to use LGS for layaway now .

This is absolutely a Great Made in the USA gun. I shot 1 1/2" to 2" groups with the following ammo Winchester 230 Grain, Federal 230 Grain and Tula 230 Grain with no jams. Totally Flawless! Highly recommend and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

Purchased the .45 carbine along with the 9mm carbine, (see my review) well I finally got to take it to the range and shoot it. WOW just like the 9mm this thing ate everything I fed it, and was just as accurate straight from the box. Was shooting constant groups of thre inches or less at 50 yards. Recoil slightly heavier, but nothing I can not live with. Wife who is 5' foot tall was able to shoot it quite easily and was having a blast with it also. Only draw back as many others have stated for both carbines is the small capacity magazines available for it. Oh well, just will have to order more magazines from Buds for both. So if you are on the fence about either one of these beauties, trust me, you cannot go wrong.

Really like this rifle. I took it to the range today and it fired everytime with out a hitch. I have purchased a couple of rifles from buds and have had excellent service.
