The 6" GP100 in stainless was my first firearms purchase. The weight of the gun with full lug barrel and Hogue rubber grips make firing .357 magnums very comfortable. My wife enjoys shooting .38 special out of it as they feel like little more than a .22LR. My only complaint about the gun is the front sight is very difficult to pick up against a dark background. The upside is that it takes about 2 minutes to replace the front sight with an aftermarket of your choice. This gun will be in the family for a LONG time.

The Ruger GP 100 is everything I wanted in a 357 revolver. It's operation is smooth, it's accurate and over all just fun to shoot. Best of all I couldn't beat Buds price anywhere. I saved nearly $200 over the LGS prices. This was my first order from Buds and I won't hesitate to by here again.

Love this revolver. Its a combination of beauty and ruggedness.I love the way the rubber houge grip fits my hand, I have put a hundred rounds down range so far 50 158 gr 38 special and the rest 158 gr .357. .38's feel like a .22 in this gun. The 158 gr 357 mags have a nice kick. This is a real mans gun!!!

I agree with some that there are some rough spots on the finish. Overall though this revolver is the perfect balance of weight and size. I took it to the range to site it in. I only brought 50 rounds of 357. I immediately regretted not having more. It is so easy to shoot in 357 and 38 spl feels like you're shooting a .22. I did the trigger job before taking it out. There is a video on YouTube that covers it very well. I used a Dremel (low speed), a small polishing wheel, and some Mothers mag polish. Makes a noticeable difference. Groupings were extremely tight at 7 yards. Can't wait to get to the outdoor range for some long distance shooting.

I've always wanted the 6 inch stainless version of the Ruger GP 100. I went looking for one around 1st week of January, but prices at most local gun store (Bay Area,California) were unreasonable. Then I browsed BudsGunShop.com and was pleasantly surprised by Bud's price. Not only that, Bud's has a generous layaway program. The program was straight forward and very generous in the " spread " of payment, I was able to afford the gun. The gun was shipped to my FFL after only 3 days, and while in transit, Bud's communicated with me, informing me of the whereabouts of the gun. You cannot get a better service than what Bud's can offer. I am putting out the word, if you want this gun and you don't think you can afford it, think again, get it from BudsGunShop.com. At the FFL, I inspected the gun, it was flawless. It hefts nicely in the hand, and to use a cliche, " it is built like a tank ". I have no doubt this gun will serve me well. My thanks to Ruger and to Buds. Next firearm purchase will be with BudsGunShop.com. again!
