Great looking .22 rifle . I am very pleased with it . My best 3 shot group @ 50 yards was .548 , using Wolf ammo . Sometimes a semi auto does not eject light target rounds ( my Marlin 60 has trouble with it ) but my Ruger has ejected every thing that I have tried in it with no problems . I have tried 8 different brands of ammo in it so far .

Arrived with sights far from zero - barely on the paper at 50 yards with a 100 yard target. The front sight fell out of the dovetail during my second time shooting it. This is my second 10/22 Sporter (and I could never find anything wrong with the first), but this one is so far quite disappointing in accuracy and quality. I got some gunsmithing advice on staking the dovetails for when I try for a third time to get the windage right on the sights, but we'll see how it turns out. Quite a pity, as it's otherwise very nice looking for a 10/22, and more comfortable to shoulder than basic or takedown models.

Great service for a fine rifle.

Had a 10/22 takedown and decided to sell it and pick up a Deluxe squirrel-greaser. The nicer stock, with checkering, and the omission of the barrel band, make it a great looking plinker. It also came with sling swivels whereas the Takedown and cheaper models did not. I stuck a Leupold rimfire 2-7x28 on it and the rifle balances and carries nicely. The trigger, out of the box, definitely sucks. It is just too heavy. Shooting at anything small beyond 25 yards, especially with a scope, you realize how heavy the trigger is. You are ready to fire and it almost feels like the safety is on---the reticle bounces around a bit and then the trigger finally breaks. I stuck a $40 Volquartsen hammer in the trigger assembly which seems to have taken the trigger pull down to 3 or 4 pounds. This rifle is ready to bust cottontails and squirrels. I'm pleased.

Very happy with this purchase. Accurate and reliable out of the box. Nice quality and good finish. Received fast. A new favorite for the girlfriend too, she's a hell of a shot with it too.

Extremely poor stock to action fit, all around bad trigger with creep and a trigger plunger that was not fitted straight into the trigger housing, dents from the safety into the "Deluxe" stock during assembly I assume because the slot for the trigger assembly is too small for the width of the safety, and the magazine release will not 'free release' the magazine, you must push it back toward the trigger while holding the release(Very difficult). Buds does not open the gun boxes, so this may be what the new Ruger quality level is today.
