Rock solid transaction, rock solid revolver. Total Smith & Wesson and Ruger fan. Very pleased with this snub. My first DAO revolver (I usually go with a DA/SA version). Smooth trigger. Just clean your revolver when you first get it, take it to the range to insure functionality and you should be all set.

Been wanting a new J-frame S&W with no lock. Found it! Put this revolver on layaway. Broke it out of jail and picked it up at my FFL today. I am really impressed with the quality of this revolver. Nice finish, tight cylinder lockup, and a decent trigger pull. J-frames are not known for their trigger pull, but this pull is not bad at all. Fires 100%. No problems with ejecting the spent cartridges. I am very satisfied with this revolver. The layaway process went smoothly with no complaints. Shipped on Wednesday and at my FFL on Friday. A satisfied repeat customer!

Very impressed with this J Frame 38. Its small, lightweight and has a great matte black finish. I bought this one over other models because it has no internal lock. Sights are less than adequate so I added white modeling paint to the front ramp and now it is quick to pick up. The action was stiff but has smoothed out from firing and dry fire with snap caps. No trigger job needed, just honest use.You need to practice with this revolver but it hits where you aim. This is a great summer carry for where I live when it easily gets 100+. Also don't overlook it for a workout/ running gun. Its something I can have with me all the time and not worry about its weight. It will not fully replace my semi autos but it fills a hole in my carry rotation.

Great service from BUDS as Always. Got the pistol a few days ago and took it to the range today. I did a lot of reviews on the gun especially because I don\'t deal with a lot of revolvers. This thing is so light but not in a cheap kind of way. It is well balanced and shooting only target loads today the recoil was very minimum. This thing is smooth smooth smooth. The trigger pull is great. I am more than happy and surprised at how well I enjoyed this gun. Smith quality and very accurate. Thanks Team BUDS.

I bought a new Smith & Wesson M442 38 Special revolver from Bud's because of their low price, free shipping, Bud's stellar reputation, and the fact they had one in stock with no internal lock. I paid via eCheck to get the low cash price so it took a few days for the payment to clear, but I know that when I made that payment choice. As soon as the payment cleared I got e-mails from Bud's letting me know the payment and shipping status with a tracking number. With the free two-day delivery my local FFL dealer got the gun and I picked it up that afternoon. My FFL was on Bud's preferred list, so having it shipped was so easy that I didn't have to contact my FFL dealer until I went to pick it up. My local FFL dealer was also very complimentary of Bud's, saying that they were organized and professional to deal with. That is nice to hear, especially when from a competitor. I got to take the 442 out for the first time today. The 442 felt very light, even when loaded. That may account for some of the kick I felt when I went through the first 5 rounds. I was able to hit center mass but not as tight a group as I would like. I went through another 25 rounds with the 442 and, once I got used to how it felt, was getting consistently better groupings. I got the 442 for its compact size and power for home defense and traveling and am satisfied that it will fit the bill just fine. Good gun and buying experience. I would definitely buy from Bud's again if I couldn't find the gun I was looking for locally.
