I haven't had the chance to test the gun. I've installed a Nikon scope and am excited to see how it does, but I've been busy with other things and the weather has been a factor too. I'll update this as soon as I have something to say. Though I am not an AR expert, my buddies who've seen the DPMS Oracle who know more, do like it. I'll indicate "GOOD" for now and would only change it if I find a reason to. As far as Buds, they have been very prompt like always.

This is the first AR I have owned so my review comes without comparison. I received my product swiftly and after giving it a good function test accepted it from the FFL. I purchased two of them. One for my son to shoot with me. We put a red dot sight on one and a 3x scope on the other and hit the range with the cheapest brass FMJ we could find. Both guns were on paper at 50 meters. Took us 40 rounds to get them zero'd in. Neither one ever had any failures durring this process. Neither one of us have ever zero'd in a gun before and we did not feel this was unreasonable. Very happy with the rifles and their performance.

This was my first purchase from Bud's and my first AR-15. I've shot M&P's, Rock Rivers, and other friends' personal builds, and settled on the Oracle due to the bang for the buck. The gun comes in a cardboard box, well packaged, but heavily oiled. It has a barrel flag, black metal magazine, gun lock, owner's manual, and warranty card. After cleaning, it shot 80 rounds of American Eagle FMJ ammo without a problem. Even 4-6 rapid bursts. The Oracle also has the deeper cut barrel feed ramps, dust cover, and forward assist. Check some other guns in the same price range, and you will find they skip these to save on cost. My one complaint is the Pardus stock. It locks in the buffer tube holes, but twists side to side. It also curves outward making it counter-intuitive to the natural slope of your shoulder. Its a pain to shoot but easily upgradable. Also don't buy a plastic front sight such as the Magpul. Magpul makes good stuff, but the gas block will get very hot and melt your plastic sight. Buy metal or use a floating barrel guard. I used Magpul gen 2 mags with no problems seating and functioning. Like the other posts have said a good base mil spec rifle to begin with. Thanks Buds
