I bought this for my son to have some fun at the shooting range. It shoots nice, fairly accurate and has a good look to it. No hiccups with about 200 rounds of CCI. The magazine is total junk. Won't load over 10-11 rounds out of the box. I had to do a little detail work to get it to hold close to the 25 rounds. Same with the other 2 I bought. For what it is it's okay for the price. I would expect a little better on the magazines from Mossberg however.

I would challenge anyone to find a firearm that is more fun than this one, or at a better price. Gun was clean out of box, and required no additional clean up or oiling. I went to the range and put 200 rounds through it without any hesitations - no FTF's, and no mag jams. As for all the other mixed reviews I have read about this weapon: Yes, it is a 701 Plinkster with calm shell add on's, but I will say that the trigger doesn't have nearly any of the slop that my 701 22LR has, and it will fire rounds as quickly as I can pull the trigger. The magazine has a little wiggle needed to insert and remove it, but what can you expect from a two piece style mag? I would recommend this weapon to anyone looking for something that is fun to shoot and affordable. Buds did a great job in processing and shipping, and I had both my firearms (ordered a 9mm 1911 as well, which was equally impressive) within a week. My only other recommendation - spend the extra $30 and buy the suggested TruGlo red dot scope with it. I clamped it on, and was knocking out golfball sized holes/groups at 50 yards with rapid fire bursts - no adjustment needed! I would have never expected that kind of accuracy from such an inexpensive product. Great job Buds! Just ordered a big brother for this one (223/5.56) and have no doubts that the service and quality will be top notch!!

This has been a good little plinker for the price. Have had no problems, even the mags fit tightly, which seems to have been a problem for some. Yes, I would recommend. Buds service was fast. Thanks Buds

Buds was great, this was my first firearm purchased from them and no complaints. I bought this rifle for my 10 year old daughter, she goes to the range with me and I shoot my AR15's and she was shooting a Remington bolt action 22 and wanted to shoot my AR but was afraid. I thought this would be a great little starter rifle for her. Out of the box it looks real cool and it's light (due to being almost entirely made out of plastic). I broke it down to clean it, we"re going to the range in a couple of weeks. I first tried using the directions but they're worthless, so i got on YouTube and found a video (so much easier to understand). Still it took me about an hour to get all of the screws out and break the trigger assembly from the upper receiver. Very tedious, and painful breakdown. I did notice that all of the little screws go right into the plastic so I'm not sure how long it'll be before they start stripping. I gave it a good cleaning so it should do good at the range. The magazine is hokie and doesn't fit that great into the magazine well and mag release button isn't great either. I put a red dot sight on it, flashlight, and foregrip so it looks like one of mine and as long as it shoots good i think she'll be happy. I am dreading the breakdown and cleaning again though. The picture of the rifle on the website can be deceiving it's basically 6 pieces (5 of which are plastic) and doesn't breakdown like a traditional AR15. The front handgrips and front sight are two pieces of molded plastic that come together in the middle and held together by 6 screws. The butt stock is held on by a locking bolt and pulls off. The upper and lower receivers, including the carrying handle and rear sight are two pieces of plastic that again come together in the middle. And then there's the receiver, trigger assy, and barrel. The plastic pieces basically shroud the receiver and barrel. I'm giving it 3 stars right now and hopefully i'll be able to get back on an update my review after some range time.

This gun is junk I end up selling it even after I had it serviced. It jams and is very poorly made. The magazines are cheap and very poor quality.
