Perfect Carry weight for a 1911, Outstanding accuracy, Great Looking Weapon even wife likes it. The price here was the cheapest and it staff are excellent for answering questions and processing orders. The truest test of a gun sale is the price and customer service agents, both are 5 star rated.

The first gun that was shipped had blemishes I did not except the transfer, buds was able to return and replace the gun all in a week, Amazing job by buds!. Now the gun, It has to be the most sexiest gun I have held, its super light and the machining on all metal inside and out is excellent. Now what i did not like is the bushing to barrel fit is on the loose side, really do not need the bushing tool to take apart and slide to frame fit is not as tight as a 1100.00 dollar gun should be. Overall I am happy.

First the gun. It is as spectacularly beautiful as photos suggest. It's very lightweight and fits in my hand perfectly. I will shoot it this weekend but if it performs as advertised it should be great. Now for Buds. This was my first online purchase of a firearm. You can read reviews till you're blue in the face and you never really know who's actually writing them. Eventually you make the decision to "pull the trigger". My overall experience with Buds was excellent!! I had a few questions prior to my transaction and they responded promptly and with good answers. I used the "Make an offer" option and saved myself a few more dollars which is always good. Shipping was quick. Their email communication through the entire process was great. They send status update emails through every step of the way. I HIGHLY recommend them and I will definitely use them again. Message to Buds: Thank you very much for a smooth transaction and making my first online gun purchase a good experience! -Mitch

My new best of the best 1911. I have owned several Kimbers, a Springfield & presently have 2 RIA's and a Ruger Commander. The S&W is in the next class. Everything Kimber wishes it was. Cleaned it, lubed it and went to the range. Put 200 rounds of FMJ of various brands through it using a mixed batch of magazines. Finished by shooting 2 magazines of Federal HP's while it was hot & dirty. Not a single FTF, FTF, FTE just shot everything without a single glitch. The fit & finish is as well as the degree to which everything fits together. Slide to frame fit looks like it was cut with a laser, interior is also flawless. The bobtail grip is really nice, specially with 2LX hands like I have. I have several dozen pistols not to mention revolvers & the S&W 1911 is the one I would grab first out of the safe if the house was on fire.

I received my Smith and Wesson E Bobtail is a timely fashion. I took it to the range and put 50 rounds through it without a hitch. It is a great light weight pistol. Easy to load, and not much recoil. It will be a great CC Firearm. Fits in my big hands really well. Redefines sexy!

I had a S&W Commander PD which was a very fine reliable pistol. I traded it and started collecting Kimbers and always missed the Smith. I had been looking at the new E series for a while and finally decided to take the plunge and don't regret it. The pistol is beautiful and well made with great finish and fits nice and tight between the frame and slide. No rattles when you shake it just like my Kimbers and unlike my Colts. The Smith has a lot of features that usually are only found on high end guns, serrated top of slide, serrated back of slide and front of grip. Also an ambi safety, which as a lefty I really appreciate. The round butt grip is very comfortable in the hand and does conceal a little easier. I have a few Bobtail 1911's and like this style of grip alot. Some people complain about the external extractor but I don't see it. It may not be the original 1911 design but it works great and that is what matters. This pistol has been 100% reliable so far and very accurate and see no reason for that to change. The only problem I have had with it is that my Wilson mags won't lock up in the grip, they seem to tall, but I have not figured out why. All other mags with metal followers instead of the Wilson plastic followers have worked fine, Colt, Chip McCormick, Kimber, etc. Since I have not figured out what the problem is, I don't know if it is a model wide problem or just this particular pistol. But not a big deal. Anyway, my thoughts are that this is a very nice pistol and worth the money and a pleasure to look at and shoot. By the way, Bud's has the Commander size PD back in stock at this time, which was discontinued in 2011. I don't know how they got them are where they came from but I already put mine on layaway and can't wait to get it. I have bought over 40 guns from Bud's over the years and have no complaints with their prices or service.
