Bought this gun as the cheap ammo range gun for my wife who already has the Thunder .380. She loves the .380, and is equally impressed with the .22 model. For under $300 delivered, this is a good value. Fun to shoot, surprisingly accurate, easy to take down and clean, and exactly the same size/profile as the Thunder .380. If you're there to work on technique, it's a lot cheaper to send .22's through the paper than .380's. After 500 rounds, the only downside is the occasional stovepipe when using cheap bulk ammo. I found that a little more polishing of the ramp and a proper cleaning and oiling reduced stovepipes to 1 in 20 rounds. I don't get any stovepipes using higher quality ammo. 100 rounds of Remington and CCI went through trouble free, but price is higher than bulk Federal. Obviously you get what you pay for. Bersa makes a great product -- very good value. But you must be willing to clean your handgun regularly in order to get trouble free performance, especially on the .22.

Pretty good little gun. Mine has been a bit picky on ammo. Tried some cheap stuff to begin with and had a lot of FTE's and a few FTF's but started using some remington ammo and haven't had a single issue since. The winchester and federal I used had issues. My wife loves it and it's good to be able to go shoot for next to nothing every day or two.

Great little pistol, 100% reliable. Likes all types of ammo, including the really cheap, dirty stuff (e.g. Thunderbold). A keeper.

After searching locally and all over the web for the best deal, I ended up using Buds due to reviews But I definitely didn't get the best deal. I am Disappointed in shipping ( took a week to ship and 3 days to deliver (so much for the great shipping), as well as the price. I did find the gun cheaper elsewhere but not surprisingly they were out of stock at $ 239.57 to be exact. Ironically they were back in stock by the time I received the gun. One thing that surprised me with Buds is the fact that they actually add to the price of the gun if credit card is used. I always thought the cash discount, when applicable, will be a discount off of the price of the gun as advertised, and any other method including credit card is going to keep price as advertised. ( a bit misleading that’s all) As for the BERSA. Great gun + cheap ammo adds up to a lot fun at the range. I put it thru 200 rnds of Blazer High Velocity 40 Grain Solid Point without major problems. I did have 2 FTF but that is to be expected from a new stiff spring in this new gun. 5 Star for BERSA +1 star for BUDS = 3 Aver. This is the second attempt to post my review. I hope this time buds leaves my ENTIRE review and doesn’t cut the part they don’t like.

I handled a Bersa Thunder 22 at a local gun shop and loved the weighting so much I came home and ordered it from Buds. Received it today and put 150 rounds of CCI 36g and Blazer 40g through it without a hitch. Sites were tight and grouping was good. Trigger pull is nice and light. This will be my son's first plinker. Overall very impressed. My only complaint is the availability of spare magazines - they seem to be rare and expensive.
