This is my first gun purchase and I must first say that I am thrilled with Buds. Delivery was quick, the process was simple and the gun arrived in perfect condition. Oh and the price; unbeatable. I shop around and Buds price was by far the best. Now to the gun. As I mentioned, this is my first gun purchase and I will use it for home defense and as a conceal carry weapon. I am impressed with the size, weight, sturdiness and design of the gun. It is loaded with safety features that are important for a novice like me, but also easy to use. I have fired 100 rounds of Federal 115gr FMJ through it and it performed flawlessly. Disassembling and cleaning the gun was a snap. Again, I am no expert, but I took my first purchase very seriously. I am a happy man. I will be back to Buds for my next purchase.

This was my first purchase with Buds and I have to say it was great. I will never purchase a firearm from a local dealer as long as Buds is around! I received my gun in less than a week! The customer service was awesome! Thanks Buds! I have not shot my new toy yet but when I do I will post another revirew.

purchased and arrived fast from buds, took gun out had several issues in 1st 13 clips , used 3 different brand of ammo same issues in each brand, by the way gun was stripped and cleaned before 1st shooting session, sent it back to ruger and they did a bit of work on it, when returned cleaned it and went out to the range , 7 clips same problems, seems like a good gun when holding fits hand well , carries well, bad trigger very long and hard, will give it a 3 because ruger is willing to take it back and give a new one or a refund if looking at this gun see if u can shoot 1 before purchase , a little more money might buy a better gun andsave you a headache. i figured it would shoot like my sr9 ,like comparing a apple to a rock

Bought this pistol for my wife for Valentines Day because nothing says I love you better than Ruger Firearms. I added a Crimson Trace trigger guard laser because I wanted her to have the "instictive grip on" and not have to think about it. I picked up the pistol in-store but had the laser shiiped from another warehouse to home, everything was said and done in 5 days. Buds is as always awesome! I have to say this pistol is a sweet little gun, the gun sightes themselves are dead on and the laser didn't require any adjustment it was dead on impact point out to at least 50 feet. I fed Blazer aluminum cased ammo through it with out a hitch, it also tears down super easy for cleaning. Nice compact package fits in my front pocket easily, I am very pleased and will probably buy myself one for concealed carry instead of my 1911. Thanks Again Buds!!

This is a great weapon. If you use one of Bud's "preferred ffl dealers", be sure to verify the shipping address. I used a "preferred dealer" who had moved to a new location; as such, it took nearly three weeks to receive the shipment. Other than this mix-up, the transaction was smooth. One thing I would like to state first off is that the previous reviewers who complained about the "inoperative takedown door" were likely incorrect in their assessments. To open a "stiff" takedown door, insert the edge of a dime between the bottom of the slide and the top of the takedown door. Then, gently twist the dime in a counter-clockwise motion. The door should effortlessly drop down. Now, on to the specifics: Concealability: The LC9 would be easy for just about anyone to conceal if the correct holster selection was made. That said, I would not consider this to be a "pocket pistol." I am a pretty big guy (6' 1" 240 lbs) and I only have a few pairs of pants that fit this pistol. The weapon is extremely light and compact, which makes for easy, comfortable, all-day concealed carry. Reliability: Anyone who has ever purchased a new Ruger knows that they come caked with grease. After picking up the LC9 and performing a thorough cleaning, I fired 50 rounds of FMJ and had 8 misfires/failure to load a subsequent round. I performed a light cleaning and fired another 50 rounds with 2 ftf/ftl's. After performing a 3rd cleaning (this time, a thorough cleaning), I was able to put through 200 rounds of various brands of ammo without a single glitch. The moral of the story is that if you keep this weapon clean, it is as reliable as they come. Performance: Performance wise, the LC9 is incredibly accurate out to 15 yards. The recoil is substantial but definitely manageable. The long, medium weight trigger pull was easy to get used to. Overall: In my opinion, this is by far the best option out there unless you are looking for a true "pocket pistol." Personally, I would be afraid to trust my life to anything smaller than a 9 mm. The accurate, highly reliable, and easy to shoot LC9 is a fantastic weapon for anyone looking for a CCW.
