Nice gun for concealed carry which is why I bought it. Shot 100 rounds through it two weeks ago. The first 50 felt good but had a 6" spread at 25'. The second 50 rounds tightened up to 3-4". The trigger pull is a bit long but you get use to it. The recoil was light and with the extended grip I had no problem gripping the gun. I cleaned the gun out of the box because it was shipped in heavy oil coating. Teardown, cleaning and assembly was easy and fast. Good gun that I recommend for carry.

First - about Buds. I ordered this gun on Monday evening and fired it Thursday afternoon of the same week. This is the fourth gun I've ordered from Buds and I have never had a problem. This LC9 is one nice little gun - with a big bite. Picked it up at the gun shop, took it out of the box while paperwork was being completed and wiped off much of the "grease" Ruger likes to put on their new guns. Took it right down stairs to the range and fired 50 rounds of Federal 125 grain FMJ. Not so much as a hickup! Warning - if you visit ruger forums etc, you have read about the long trigger pull. It is not exaggerated. It is very smooth but very long (by design). I thought my first shot was never going to happen. My first 8 or 10 shots were way off target but started getting better until eventually by the time I had fired my 50 rounds I was shooting some very good groups on target. This is not a range gun. It is designed for CCW and self defense. It has good sights and it is possible to hit small targets at considerable distances. I love the gun. Also, I love Ruger. I had some problems with the SR9C (also through Buds) and they made it right in short time and at no expense to me. Excellent customer service. You won't go wrong with Ruger, Buds or the LC9.

Another hassle free transaction!!! These guys rock for sure. Love the LC9 it shoots really nice compared to other guns its size. Took to the range yesterday and put a little more than 100 rounds thru it without any issues!! Nice tight groups as long as I didnt pull or push the gun. The only issue I had was after about 80 rounds the rear sight loosened up shifting everything to the right. Centered it back up with a little loctite and good to go. Thanks Budsgunshop!!

This is a really good gun for the money. The overall weight and size make for an ideal carry weapon. After receiving from my FFL, I did a light cleaning and then took to the range. The gun functioned perfectly. It is a real pleasure to shoot with very little recoil. With three dot sights far superior to the sights on my LCP, I found target acquisition was excellent. I fired 50 rounds of Winchester WB and 20 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense with no issue. As others have said it does have a long trigger pull that might take some getting used to, but for a carry weapon I prefer this. I also do not mind the manual safety, which provides firm physical feedback as you engage/disengage. The only one negative feature I have found is the magazine disconnect safety. I hope Ruger decides to make that an option in future versions of this otherwise fine handgun.

This is a solid little secondary small arm. I specifically bought this gun for a carry and a backup to a full size small arm. It is very well made as is with all Ruger's. The extra pinky grip is nice and is what is able for me to grip the gun. Im not one of these guys who needs seven million safties on guns, but the one it does have is simple and easy to manipulate. The only negative about this little gun is the trigger pull that seems like a couple of miles. However it fires, does not jam in any manner, the ergonomics are outstanding, it easily fittes in a pocket. Also the price is excellent, for its intended use it absolutly outstanding. As always Buds is on top of the firearm business, I have bought 4 guns with buds, will soon be 7. So that pretty much sums up how excellent Buds is. See How I look at it is that I don't make a million dollars a year, I can only afford what I can afford. A lot of local gun shops forget this, and so do some of the gun makers. However with Buds pricing and layaway program it evens the odds for us who don't have tons of money to throw around.
