This is my first 1911. I was torn on which manufacturer to go with but I couldn't be happier with the Sig. Night sights are great and not overly bright or distracting from the target. This gun shoots like a dream! I ordered on Sunday, got a call on Tuesday that my gun had arrived. This is my fourth purchase with buds. Their prices are pretty much spot on if not quite a bit cheaper depending on your local shop. Gonna buy another 1911 soon!

In my opinion, this is one of the best 1911's you can get for under $1,000.00. I went to the range and shot 100 rounds with no jams at all. I like the front checkering and the pistol is very tight with no rattles unlike the ruger 1911 I just sold. The only issue I have is the brass was going up and coming down on my head. I did buy a wilson combat recoil spring to try out. Some people don't like the external extractor but does not bother me at all. This is a great looking 1911. I'm happy.

I don't normally leave reviews, but Buds Gun Shop and this firearm have made me change my mind. First off, the shipping was fast and accurate and everything arrived in perfect condition. Now for the pistol. WOW. What a looker, what a shooter, and what a great all around gun. I have put roughly 1,000 rounds through it without one single failure. The trigger is very precise and just about perfect on the pull. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation. Each shooter is unique so I fine tuned it to my sight-picture and can now drive nails with it all day. Some on the web have complained about the weight. It is an all metal gun that is designed to withstand whatever you can throw at it. I feel confident that this will be true with this gun. This has now replaced my Sig P229 as my open carry gun. I love it and never leave home without it.

Very nice 1911. Trigger is very nice (but you expect that from a 1911). You do have the take-up due to the series 80 firing pin safety, but the break is very smooth on my pistol. A side note to this, if you are new to the 1911, after field stripping, make sure the firing pin plunger lever is down when replacing the slide. This was not mentioned in the manual, but very important. I missed this the first time I field stripped the pistol and jammed the slide. Sig's customer service was great, and they repaired and returned my pistol under warranty very quickly. I have run several hundred rounds 230g hardball (Winchester WB, Federal AE), along with Winchester 230g RA45B HPs and Federal 230g HST and Hydra-shok HPs with no problems (with one caveat). The mags that come with it are OK, but as with all 1911 pistols, the magazines are critical to proper operation. I bought 2 Chip McCormick Power Mag+ 8 rd mags and immediately had issues with these magazines failing to lock the slide after the last round. This was followed by some FTF on last round. This was clearly a magazine issue, not the pistol. I replaced the springs and followers in these mags with Wilson Combat kits and they are running fine now. Night sights are front dot, with underline rear sight. (Not 3 dot if that is what you are used to.) I replaced the grips with thin cocobolo grips because of my smaller hands, but I think it looked better with the original Sig dymondwood Hogue grips. With the reverse two tone finish and dark grips, the pistol definitely has panache.

Beautiful weapon; very reliable and accurate. As always, extremely wonderful service from Bud's. Shipped quickly to my FFL and came in excellent condition. Overall, very satisfied with this purchase.

Initially very impressed until I gave it a complete cleaning and took it to the range only to experience continual FTF using 200g hp which I have used in my XDs and CZ97 without failure. After doing some research I found this to be a common issue. I wonder why this had not been mentioned on any of the previous Bud's reviews. I replaced the recoil spring with a Wilson Combat 18.5 lb and out to the range for a second go. Talk about flawless function and reduced recoil! This is a weapon I can now have total confidence in! My rating score is based on "as is" performance and the fact a bushing wrench was not included. After replacing the recoil spring I do give it 5 stars. I do definitely recommend this gun but save yourself some frustration and order the 18.5 lb recoil spring and bushing wrench with the gun and you will shoot happily ever after!
