This is a fun gun to shoot, especially with the flexibility for accessories that the rails and threaded barrel provide. Function-wise, it has performed wonderfully so far, with zero jams using normal LR ammo, both standard and high velocity loads. Accuracy is great. The only downside to this pistol is of course that it's not a MK 4, so disassembling it is tricky, as with MK1 and MK 2 pistols. But there are kits you can buy to modify the guts to make field stripping for cleaning easier. Overall, I am happy with the gun.

I mount a suppressor and a extended eye relief scope on this to use for pest control. Shoots great and is very quiet with the can on it.

There's a reason Bud's is concerned with getting just a 'product review' and not an overall review of making a purchase from Bud's.

Most awesome .22 handgun I've ever shot. Super quiet with the suppressor, Burris fastfire iii mounted on top. Highly recommend.

Is a nice gun and fun to shoot however it is picky with ammunition. I upgraded everything you can upgrade on this weapon and it is still picky with the ammo I do however want to polish some of the internals and hopefully it'll shoot the less expensive ammo. but again I would still buy this weapon

This Ruger was my second 22/45. Lets just say I had an unfortunate accident with the first. The first one, I swapped out all the internals for volquartsen internals. My trigger pull was a consistent and crisp 2.5 lbs with no creep and minimal return thanks to the adjustable target trigger offered by volquartsen. I also added a tactical solutions compensator on the front with a bushnell TRS-25 optic. Any way, that gun was destroyed. So I am starting all over, I will say that my Ruger came to me in excellent shape. BUT IT DOES NOT COME WITH THE WOOD GRIPS any more. I was a little disheartened by that, but that is not the fault of Buds. Although, and I would recommend to buds to update the photo. I got cheesy black plastic grips on mine, the grips will be replaced with something of quality. I still give it 5 stars because I know of the great potential of these little rimfires. Buds did their job, will buy from again. Also, Id like to add Ruger still has this stupid magazine disconnect. I recommend anyone that purchases this gun pick up a Mk II hammer bushing to get rid of that crap.

This gun takes what is amazing about the mark series and puts it on the common 1911 platform of controls. Though it isn't perfect, it is a great gun with a ton of possibilities for upgrades. Ruger does a great job at putting together a reliable pistol and with some work, it is one of the best 22 pistols out there. It is also a pistol that is meant to be suppressed. I'm still waiting on my paperwork for a silencerco sparrow. Pros: -Reliable bolt system taken from mark -threaded barrel for compensator/suppressor -rails for accessories -good looking black grips and are replaceable -great price Cons that can be fixed: -Extractor should be replaced with volquartsen (10 dollars) to make extraction 100 percent -Loaded chamber indicator can also mess with extraction, remove it -Magazine safety is inconvenient but can be removed with mark II bushing (10 dollars) Cons: -Trigger can be mushy to someone who knows guns, trigger job fixes that -Polymer frame. I don't like it, but some might, especially with an aluminum upper (super light pistol). I'm waiting on an aluminum one to be made

The gun sucks to disassemble and reassemble but it shoots true. I had several hours of frustration troubleshooting all the possible things that could go wrong (and did) with the field strip and assembly of the weapon. I know gun nuts will say I'm a novice if I had trouble breaking this down but on youtube there were 100's of videos and almost 100,000 views just on one video to know how to field strip the gun. I have 1911s, XDms, glocks, sigs, ar15s, revolvers...the walther p22 which some think is hard to break down (I don't) Never had a problem but man this gun really got me frustrated. If you've never field stripped one before, just know you might have some troubleshooting to do as you go through the process. Buds was fast, and Ruger was helpful on the phone in assisting me. I give it 3 stars because of the difficulty of stripping and reassembling it. I'm sure the more I do it I'll get used to it and I'll update my review at that time.

Great Gun! 250 Down range the first day I owned it, right out of the box, and not 1 hic-cup. Just what you'd expect from SR&Co. (This is my Fifth Ruger), Very accurate (the X-rings were hanging by a thread) Can't wait to add a target trigger & sear, and shoot it with the suppressor. Grips are black (not wood grain as shown in the stock pix).
