SAVE YOUR BOX!!!
I received this shotgun last Friday. It is now Monday and I've just printed out the FedEx label to ship it back to Taurus in Miami. I spent an hour with the gun before I decided this was such poor quality it wasn't acceptable. Unfortunately for me, I used the box it came it to see what a 410 pattern looked like! I had to spend $11 for a gun box at MailBox's etc.
Anyway here is what was wrong with it out of the Taurus Box,
1. The lever is always popping open; it seems it is never really locked shut.
2. Very difficult to load ANY shells into the tubular magazine EVEN the first. The maximum I could load was four not the five it is supposed to hold.
3. The loaded shells in the tubular magazine hang up in the magazine tube and do not feed. I had to tap the butt of the gun on the floor to get them to get pushed out to be fed.
4. Shells do not always eject from the chamber, regardless if they are fired or unfired.
I used Federal, Remington and Winchester 2.5" shells and the results were all the same.
So, save your box, you will need it.
