This is my 3rd 1911 from Bud's and they are excellent to do business with. I have the ATI Military 1911 and it is an excellent weapon and compares well to the Springfield military 1911 except it is not Parkerized like the Springfield. I love the military 1911 a lot which is very tight, well made, and functions flawlessly with ball ammo (that's all I have tried). The GI 1911 looks and handles even better and was an even better deal. I have not fired it yet, but I can tell you that it is a high quality weapon and is worth much more that Bud's is selling it for. This gun is higher quality than other 1911's I have seen made in the Phillipine's. And a much better deal. I guarantee that $200 more would not buy a better 1911. I have no regrets at all with the guns I have purchased or with Bud's Guns as a business.

This gun is sweet fits nice in the hand and fit and finish is really good for the price. If you want a 1911 platform but don\'t have $700-1200 dollars to spend than I must recommend.

Impressive out of the box, especially at this price. Hefty, very tight tolerances on the slide and barrel bushing. Good checkering on the grips. Saturated with oil inside and out, so an initial take-down and wipe-off is necessary.

I ordered one of these online at Bud's .com and picked it up at the retail store in Lex. I bought it for my son's birthday. He was wanting a commander type 1911 that was like the Colt, I only found a couple that was affordable and had the original commander type hammer, the ATI was the cheapest price but it will fool you. It is every bit as good as a the Rock Island and other cheaper 1911 clones that are out there. I think it is made in the Philippines like most of them, but performs just as good, and he loves it. So He's happy my wallet is happy. Thanks to Bud's!

Being the cheapest 1911 on the market, this thing is a beast. Get a few good mags. Or even gi style no name 7 rounders this thing will eat hps an fmjs. Well over 1000 rounds in an still shoots the same. Great gun. Reliable as morning bathroom visits. Only downside is sights might be a tad off. My windage was good. Shot low out of the box. Other than that. Great pistol. For the money. Cant beat.
