My review will be in a few parts, to focus on separate details: 1) Bud's Gunshop - excellent place, great customer service, can't beat the prices and value. I give them individually 4/5 stars, and only 4 for one reason: the 6-day hold on ACH (eCheck) transactions. I simply can't fathom a hold placed on what is essentially a direct bank-to-bank transaction. Once the funds "cleared", shipping was fast and efficient. 2) The gun itself - Excellent piece! Fit and finish are superb, nice and tight, machining and tolerances all excellent. Shoots great, feels great, looks great. One minor issue (and this could be more operator error than anything): I had extreme difficulty getting the mag release to come out of the gun, requiring the application of not insignificant force for final removal. Upon inspection, the locking lug was poorly machined/fit (it was nowhere near flush with the mag catch). I had to spend some time filing down the lug to even get the mag release back into the frame, stripping the screw in the process (the operator error part). 3) ATI's customer service was TOP NOTCH. When I called about the issue above, I indicated that I probably botched the job due to my inexperience with 1911s. The rep didn't even concern himself with the why - he just sent me a replacement, no charge. No questions asked, just sent it. I have not received it yet, but expect to any day. When asked about whether the lug should be flush with the mag release, he indicated it should and that the part was probably not machined/fit properly. Apologized, sent the part. Can't beat that! Overall, I am extremely satisfied. I'll buy from Bud's again, and would buy ATI without reservation.

Received firearm in sealed packaging. Finish was as expected, matte. Frame and slide matched. Disassemble and cleaned completely before trip to the range. Some failure to feed was experienced, but improved when a OE Colt mag was used. After a session of 150 rounds and lack of daylight gun was returned home for another cleaning session. It was during second cleaning when we notice the EJECTOR had started to flare where it contacts the cartridge rim, A replacement from a known maker was order and installed. Another shooting session (150 rds) when the PLUNGER TUBE lock up gun, rear most pin broke in the frame which lead to engaging the safety. Parts are on order again. Weapon was purchase for informal shooting and for CCW. Will have to rate barely a two, time and ammo will tell how good gun is, expect to get what you paid for. Good Luck.

Ordered on the 3rd received on the 13th(Post Office issue). Did have to spend about an hour degreasing it. Got to the range today and the pistol is dead on. I had no issue with the factory mag, and I had also picked up two CMC mags. All functioned perfectly and the pistol is very accurate using a combo of reloads(.45 in short supply) and PDX1. No feed problems or other issues. Does tend to eject straight back more often than not. Second recent purchase from Buds, can't beat the deal.

This was my first purchase thru buds and it was fast and easy, took about 6 days even with the Easter weekend, gun was pack full of oil but condition was flawless, got it home and cleaned her up, it's an awesome gun so far fit and finish is great. Best bang for my buck, I'm glad I purchased it when I did because the price has went up 25 bucks in less than a week!

WOW, forgot to leave a review for this one. Out of the box dead on at 15 yards, Slow fire magazine full into less than two inches, using wolf ammo no less. Trigger gritty, sights reasonable, but black on black, finish reasonable, functions flawlessly, am only at 500 rounds, not ONE hiccup. Having sights put on and the trigger polished up, no need for anything else. I have noticed the price has jumped almost 100.00, get one fast., Asked my gunsmith what he thought of it, he started using expletives, and asked how much I paid for it, I was waiting for a berating lecture about overseas handguns. NOPE , he could not get over the fit and finish , compared to big name 1911's in the counter, better not mention the names, the comparison did not favor the 'other' models. I carry Glocks and Sigs, but I LOVE shooting this one .

This weapon is absolutely awsome! After cleaning all the packing oil off and giving it a good cleaning it shot perfectly and was dead on accurate at 15 yds (over100 rds).! Real tight consistent groups using ball ammo! Who needs hollow points, it's a .45 for goodness sake and the 1911 was designed to fire ball ammo....period! Get one , or two, or three before the word gets out about these guns and the price goes up. It is built tight and tough, yet so smooth. No need to buy the high dollar 1911's, they won't shoot better than this one. The ACT mag it comes with never failed either This thing can't be beat for the price! Get one now and get it from Buds! Buds is the best dealer in every category imaginable!
