Great Gun! This is not my first 1911 and I’m impressed with the fit and feel. The shooting is very accurate no jams, it’s just like the old original military version.

I've had this gun for over a year. The first 100 or so rounds i had a few hickups but not sure if it was the mags or the gun. I've run over 1500 rounds of all types of ammo through this gun and am very satisfied with its dependability. It is the cheapest full size 1911 i've owned and one of the most dependable.

Great .45 gun. Solid and decent for the price. Usually goes quick. If you are strapped for cash but want a 1911 that is reliable, then this is your gun!

Having a great time with this 1911!! Solid as a rock, shoots true, no issues with any ammo, and took an aftermarket magazine just like the original. The slide lock was a little tight out of the box but one magazine load and it is fine! Had a problem with "multiple" porcupines, but this took care of the problem with ease!! Just a good, reliable, fun gun at a great price!!

This is a great 1911! They have held true to the original design. I have taken it down to clean it without tools! The grip screws can be removed using a shell casing, just like the original! No problems at all in performance and functionality. I highly recommend it.

My first 1911 and first time purchasing through Buds. Great gun right out of the box. No issues with the ATI FX45 and I will recommend to friends and family. Buds couldn't have been easier smooth transaction and fast shipping. I'm a very satisfied customer!!!

Product came in quickly. Took it out to range fired accurately and flawless even with lighter target rounds. Definitely worth the price.

Good shooter for 400 bucks. The only issue I had with it was a small burr on the barrel assembly that was stopping the barrel from sliding out but that was easily fixed.

Bought this as a basic, historic type 1911. Shots without any issues. Very good, basic iron sights. For the money I have found this to be a well manufactured gun that is a lot of fun to shot.

I can't express how happy I am with this 1911. This is probably the best budget 1911 neck to neck with Rock Island Armory's. I only have 1 issue with the gun in terms of quality control: the front blade sight is leaning to the right like the adhesive used was globbed on. I don't find this too major of a problem since I plan on replacing the front sight anyway; rear sight is just fine (maybe just need a little white paint to make sight alignment faster/easier). There is some wear on the internal finish after clean/lubing, dry firing, and live firing, but I'm assuming it'll be fine after an adequate break-in period.
I finally took it out the range and shot pretty tight groupings using 150rds of Sellier & Bellot 230gr FMJ. It was a little smoky imo but that could be the gun lube. I only had 3 failure-to-feeds, HOWEVER that was among the 2 Mec-Gar 8rd mags I bought to accompany the 1 8rd Act-Mag that comes with ATI FX45 1911. That could just be needing to work the springs in as it occurred early on. Overall, this is a solid firearm to either carry, standby for home defense, or as an intro 1911 for modification.

Very happy with my ATI Government 1911. It's exactly what I want from a GI reproduction: affordable, nice quality GI sights that aren't too small, excellent checkering, and a little detail on the backstrap (vertical ribs) to improve handling and look nice without going for skeletonized parts which imo look ugly. Like any 1911, it points beautifully and the single action trigger is very crisp. Keep the center of your finger pad on the trigger and pull back slowly, you'll get 1" groups. I use Springfield stainless 7rd mags and haven't had any failures to feed or failure to eject shooting S&B 45 ACP. Great gun, recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the magic of the 1911 design.

In looks and feel:
This is a very simple and good looking pistol. The back strap has vertical lines milled into it and the front of the pistol grip is smooth. The Mahogany grip is broadly checkered, the hammer has a fine checkered pattern and the trigger also has vertical lines milled into it. In my hand it feels great as far as grip thanks to all of these simple features. The hammer is fatter and broader than a traditional 1911 hammer, and I actually like that better than the original slim hammers on more expensive production 1911's. The trigger is not aluminium, but is actually steel. I know mine is an older production run of this pistol because of the ATI stamp across the left side of the slide, so that may be why it still has a steel trigger. Newer ones do not have that stamp and may actually have the aluminium trigger. The slide serrations on the back are fine and sharp. I can always rack the slide easily. The fixed WW2 style sights are spot on. I grouped nicely at 10 and 20 yards with it while slow firing. The trigger is extremely nice, breaks well and seems very sturdy. The finish across the pistol seems very well done, but is thin. I intend to put this pistol into heavy use over time, so I imagine having a gunsmith visit over the finish will be in order. The barrel has no crown on it at all. It is a rolled over edge, so be careful to not let that get dented in. While not being a forged frame it still feels service worthy. This is a hunk of steel that will hold together as long as you don't mistreat it or run it over with your heavy duty vehicle. I am used to the WW2 style 1911, so for me there is not a feature about it that I do not like.
In use and operation:
It jammed up on the first 50 rounds, but I did not clean it and re lubricate it before firing. That was right out of the box and onto the firing range. I did that on purpose as a test of durability and quality control from the factory. When you get this pistol for the first time - take it apart, clean it ALL off (I mean scrub it with a brush and oil like the devil), wipe it down, lube it up with proper oil, work the slide 1000 times manually, take it back apart, clean it again, wipe it again, re lube it, put it back together AND THEN it will be ready. Out of the box it will need ALL of that. I bought four Mac-Gar 8 round magazines and they ran in this pistol flawlessly after the cleaning and manual cycling session. No jams apart from one round that deformed on magazine 3.. All moving parts click and snap how they are supposed to. Slow and fast fire are very spot-on with just the factory parts, so if you want a 1911 that you're willing to trick out for competition this is a viable option. I did not test hollow point ammo in this yet, but I do not intend to. Standard 230 grain hardball is all I am going to run for my applications.
Overall thoughts:
This is a multi role pistol. Survival, sports, backpacking, home defense and even concealed carry for the bigger framed man/woman are viable spots for this to be used. Fixed sights means you can drop it and she will still fire the same. All steel parts means a long life. Simple features means simple operation. Low price means less heartache should it break or be lost.
New Buyers -
If you made it this far down and this is your first pistol - 1911's need TLC. Keep it lubed monthly at LEAST. Do not be afraid to keep taking it apart and working with it, as it was made to need regular service. This is not a pistol you fire, clean and don't touch for 2 years.. No, do monthly maintenance even if you don't use it. This is universal advice on all firearms, but on this specific pistol it is paramount that you do the proper maintenance to keep it in working condition. Don't trust the factory mag if it jams even once.

Great gun for the price! I Have ran 200 rounds of ball ammo though it no problems! This is exactly like the one I qualified with back in the day. I was able to field strip it in seconds it was like being back in the Army! Compleat enjoyment!

The ATI Firepower Xtreme Military is an excellent firearm. A great rendering of the 1911 A1. There are slide markings are a little gratuitous, nowhere near as garish as others. I now have two of them. I liked the first one so much I wanted a pair. At the price they can't be beat. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable entry level 1911.
