This is my first pistol, but I'm glad I picked it, the pistol is amazing, it was fun to shoot, as soon as I picked it up, went to the range and put 150 rounds down range, no feeding issues whatsoever, no malfunctions, ran perfect. The slide is fitted perfectly, no rattle whatsoever, and it genuinely felt good to hold, and I'm not a big dude, didn't know if I made a good choice picking the government model, but I do now, awesome gun :)

Though very reasonably priced, the ATI 1911 is top notch. It feels good in your hand and shoots extremely well. You may wish to change the sites, black on black, for something better. And as always, being a repeat buyer from Bud's, they never cease to amaze. The gun and Bud's Gun Shop are 5 stars!!!

I bought the ATI Firepower Xtreme in April but had been looking at it and thinking about it for quite a while. I had first seen it on Rural King Guns but deliberated on it too much and never got around to pulling the trigger (no pun intended). I have a Kimber 1911 and I was curious about how the fit, functionality, and mechanics compared. I am very happy with this gun overall. It is tight functioning with little or no slop in the slide. The weight feels good and it is great to shoot. While I don't normally carry my Kimber because, let's face it, it is pretty and I don't look forward to holster wear I have no issues carrying the Xtreme. I did have an issue with a Kimber 1911 mag that did not seem to operate in it, but I need to look at it again to make sure I was getting the mag all the way up into the well. It could have been fast paced user error. All in all I am very happy with this purchase. It is a well made and accurate pistol and the price makes you not apprehensive about carrying it. Put on some custom grips and it pops. Highly recommended.

So, as I am a relatively new collector but long time shooter, I have always wanted a 1911. I finally got my taxes in and checked on Bud\'s and lo and behold this beauty was on sale for 350.00. I didn\'t hesitate, and jumped all over it. Man, let me tell you, I am so glad I did. This gun is the real deal. Reminds me of shooting my dad\'s old GI issued 1911 from Vietnam when I was a kid. It\'s pure steel, and built like a tank. There is no play in the fit of the slide to the frame. The spring is not too stiff and not too weak. Short guide rod. Barrel is cold hammer forged (from what I have been able to find out doing research). Action is smooth after cleaning off the factory lubricant and applying Ballistol. The factory mahogany grips are nice, but because I am a geek I changed em out with some custom Punisher grips. Looks awesome, by the way. Gun shoots great. Operationally no complaints. Factory mag is alright but I went ahead and bought two Chip McCormick mags (8rd) and one Wilson Combat (7rd) to go along with it at my FFL. Gun\'s fixed sights are only issue. Prints low when aiming on target. Have to aim over target or tilt gun up some in hand which causes some irritation from the beaver tail. Put about 150 rounds through it at the range, and dang, this thing is a nail driver once you compensate for the low print. Shot some Armscor FMJ (very accurate) and some Winchester white box bulk ammo (noticed a few more fliers when using it). Hollowed out the bullseye on target at 10 yards after getting used to the gun. Amazing. Can\'t believe I waited this long to get a 1911. It\'s no Colt, don\'t get me wrong, but man, if you want a 1911 and are on a budget this gun feel like it should be worth twice the money. Little about the manufacturer I found out, and history of the 1911 in the Philippines in general: Apparently after Vietnam we sold tons of surplus 1911\'s to the government down there. They have been standard issue to their military and police since then and are still used to this day. As a result, the 1911 became one of the most popular firearms in the country. Many companies sprung up making clones of the actual US Govt surplus guns that were floating around. The civilian market for 1911\'s continues to be lucrative down there today. So you get very well made copies of the workhorse government 1911\'s from back in the day for great prices. These guns are fantastic. They are actually really high quality and extremely well put together. Verdict: Highly recommended purchase. Great gun, great quality, fantastic price. Reliable. Great base platform for a project gun, or just to take out of box and strap on your hip.

Wow, what to say. Not only was the price excellent: near $400, but had the gun in hand by the second day after ordering. I am extremely impressed with ATI quality on this firearm. I've owned several Colt 1911's including the more recent Tieriii. There is no plastic or aluminum on this gun, (magnet check). The gun performs well. Thanks again Bud, great transaction.
