I stopped by the Lexington store to see if they had this rifle in stock. No bueno. Salesman apologized profusely and said, "If I were you, I'd go out to the parking lot and order this on your phone; they won't last long at this price." That's exactly what I did. On a Friday. At 6:30 p.m. By the following Wednesday, the rifle had arrived at the store and I got an email for pickup. Checkout was a snap. The rifle itself is quite nice for the price, if not a little spartan. It's going to be a work-in-progress for a while. I stuck some flip-up sights on it, swapped out the stock for a Magpul (honestly, DMPS, that stock is hideous), and was shooting the next day. Fit and finish are good. Fed NATO headstamped German MilSurp 7.62x51 from Pmags and the included steel mag like a champ. Brass wasn't dinged up too badly and it dropped in a nice little pile. Haven't tried steel case yet. Haven't tried commercial 308 yet, either. I'm not good enough to speak to accuracy with hastily installed flip-up sights but I was more than happy with what I saw when shooting from the standing at about 50 yards. Nothing scientific here. When the weather gets better, I'll get the bench out and see what she really does. I don't anticipate any bad surprises. Do note that the gas block sits lower than the receiver rail. If you go the iron sight route, you will need a _metal_ front sight that accounts for this. All-in-all, good rifle at a good price from a great group of folks. Thanks!

Excellent arrival packaged securely. Great doing business with Bud's. I have not put a scope on and sighted it in yet, but the gun is solidly made and very substantial. All the reviews I read about the accuracy and dependability of the Oracle is the reason I ordered, plus the great deal I got at Bud's. Not at all disappointing.

Did several changes to my DPMS Oracle 308, changed handguard with an12 inch rail, added Nikon P-308 4x12x40 800 BDC on top of Nikon M-308 mount, best changed was the trigger to a Geiselle 2-stage trigger now it shoots on the dot to 100 yards haven't tried any further

Excellent rifle. It does the job flawlessly. If you want a .308 that reaches out to your target and takes care of business buy this rifle.

Bought this gun back in November 2015 from Buds. Great job on Buds part as usual. As for the gun well it\'s heavy. I repeat heavy and not very ergonomic. Mine also has problem ejecting all the shell casings as it sometimes gets hung up on a partially ejected shell casing. Debated between it and a Springfield M1 as I own both an AR15 and a Mini14. I like the ergonomics of the Mini14 better. Even though the M1 would be a little heavier the ergonomics compensate for it in my opinion. Wish I had gone with the M1 instead.
