Awesome firearm, I would highly recommend owning

Excellent quality, shot great right out of the box. All the craftsmanship you've come to expect out of Ruger. I really like the flip-up iron sights as well. I did realize that my eyes aren't quite as good as they once were, and after 30 or so rounds I was getting a blurry sight picture. I fixed it with a Eotech XPS2-0 holographic sight and was good to go. I've shot close to 500 rounds thru her with 1 cycling malfunction using 55Gr Lake City ammo. Other than that I can't be happier. Glad I got it before the TakeDown replaced it, as it goes for about $100.00 more and that doesn't include the upper receiver upgrade in .300AAC. If there's one left in stock do yourself a favor and order it before it's too late!

I'm a huge fan of Ruger and the cleaner operation of piston driven rifles. Direct Impingement is good but gets hot and dirty much quicker than piston operated. The size of the 5913 is perfect for close quarters.I swapped the buttstock with a Magpul ACS stock. Well made rifle.

My Ruger 556 arrived in perfect condition. I installed a Aimpoint Patrol Red Dot and now have the perfect Rifle. The accessorys that come with the rifle can not be better quality. Shoots great right out of the box and have had no problems of any kind. Glad I bought it before the prices went so high. Thanks Buds.
