Just what we were looking for; something small that my wife can hide in her pocket easily.

I\'m a dealer and sell more Taurus PT111 G2\'s than anything else. They\'ve all been quite flawless, with triggers varying between very good and unbelievable - I never have to touch them. I bought the 738TCP for my granddaughter, expecting the same quality, but was disappointed by the condition in which it arrived. The slide release was a crude stamping with a huge burr on the edge that bears against the slide, so it was impossible to disengage. I had to file the burr off (with some effort, since it was hardened) and stone it smooth before it would work. Also, the magazine which is supposed to hold 6 rounds would only accept 5 at first, even after I lubricated the follower. When I finally succeeded in getting 6 rounds into it at the range (using a Maglula loader), the spring bound up and the gun was useless. I had to cut 2 coils off the spring before the magazine functioned properly. Both these problems were probably due to a failure to adequately monitor parts providers. A common issue with these little blowback-operated pistols is that, in an effort to minimize overall weight, the slide is made as light as possible - so the recoil spring needs to be extremely stiff. Neither my wife nor my granddaughter could succeed in racking the slide (but men didn\'t even notice this issue!). A slightly heavier slide would have allowed the use of a weaker recoil spring. The GOOD news is, when the gun was put into proper working order, it worked flawlessly and the accuracy was outstanding. My EDC is a Sig P938, which uses a locked-breech recoil system and consequently has a very soft recoil spring. I decided to get a P238, the .380 version of that gun, for my granddaughter. Of course, it costs 3x as much as the Taurus, but she loves it.

Goes "BANG" every time I`ve pulled the trigger, and I`ve fired almost 300 rounds with only 2 FTF when I first broke it in! Hardly noticable, small, light, fairly powerful, reliable and at a GREAT price from BUDS! When it comes to buying guns, ammo and gear online, NOBODY beats BUDS!!

Fast service. Gun as expected. Shoots as accurate as a small gun will. Shot cheap Russian ammo and good brass casing stuff. Shot expensive hollow point Sig Sauger through it. Swallowed all of them. Will not shoot remington hollow points. Jams 1 out of 3. Have no idea. I have 6 of the same caliber. I don\'t know.............

One of the best pocket 380\'s for the price. I have put a couple hundred rounds through this gun without a single malfunction. It has a smooth trigger pull room for 2 fingers on the grip, and seems to be very accurate. Some problems with the gun are the small sights and a false trigger reset. Now on most false trigger resets you can\'t pull the trigger and drop the hammer. But on the TCP you can. It is not true DOA because the slide must be cycled to re-engage the trigger. When you pull the trigger on the false reset it will fire sometimes but most of the time just give you a light strike.

Did not fill in my contact information correctly, buds customer service was very helpful getting the correct information and moving my order along. Gun did come with some surface rust on the barrel, which I want to happy about. Nothing a little fine steel wool couldn\'t clean up. The gun itself is surprisingly accurate for it\'s side and minimal sights. The magazine stop does have to be filed down slightly or rounds will contact it resulting in the slide loving back with a round or rounds in the magazine. Overall I do like this gun and it has not had any malfunctions since taking the slightest amount of excess metal off of the slide release.
