I was in the market for a pocket pistol for summer carry and deep concealment. I knew I didn't want to go less than .380, but wasn't exactly set on a .380. I ran through a bunch of local stores, and watched a ton of reviews before buying, and ended up going with the TCP. The only thing I wish I had done differently would have been to go with the next model up with the stainless steel slide. The alloy slide on this is not a problem by any means, but in my mind it will need more care. Fortunately for me I maintain my guns. After getting the pistol, I proceeded to put some rounds down range and I was impressed. The trigger pull is LONG, but smooth and crisp. It doesn't seem any longer than it's counter parts such as the LCP and bodyguard, and I'd argue it is a bit smoother than the LCP. I had no malfunctions, and to my surprise, it was no where near as snappy as the reviews I had seen seemed to imply. Quite to the contrary, it shot smoothly and relatively flat. Maybe this is because I shoot a compact .40 on a regular basis, but it really is a pleasure to shoot. Size wise, it literally fits in the palm of my hand, and is no thicker than my wallet. With a pocket holster it looks like I'm carrying a 2nd wallet when it's in my back pocket. All in all, I'm really pleased with the pistol.

Recently purchased this Taurus 380 from Bud"s. It's a neat little pocket or holster pistol. While I have not had the chance to shoot it yet, most of the reviews are fair. Great price and great service from Bud's Gun Shop.

I ordered this for my wife and received it in 2 days after I paid off the layaway, which is a great feature from Buds that I really appreciate. Got it home, cleaned it and can't wait to take it to the range with the wife.

Bought this for my CCW wife. She loves it. Also added a lazer. The 380acp has some pop to it. Great carry.

I picked up my ACP. I wasn\'t expecting perfection from a Taurus, but the finish of this gun was worse than I expected. It has very clear and obvious scratches on both sides of the slide. I know it wasn\'t my FFL, because I watched him open the mail package, and I opened up the gun box and spotted the scratches. What I do like about this gun is that it can easily be dropped into a pocket holster and taken anywhere with ease. It is SMALL, and that\'s what I was looking for.

Very nice gun compared to close competition, and I like it a lot except mine is not reliable. Far better trigger than any of the polymer 380\'s I have tried. Easy to shoot and seems very durable. My gun has been and continues to be problematic. Originally it would not chamber the last round in the magazine and would jam with the slide half open. If was difficult to remove the round, but often I could beat the slide closed with the palm of my hand and then fire it. It would jam about 5% of the time otherwise. Also the spent casings were always bent and when I ejected the unfired rounds, the top of the bullets were gouged. Taurus agreed to have me ship them the gun, and they made some repairs. It appears that they polished the slide and trimmed back the slide lock open tab. I suggested that the extractor pin locked bent but they decided not to do anything about it. The gun ejects the casings straight up into the air and they come down on my head - it does not eject then to the right as most guns do, though the extractor is on the right side and should pull then that way. The repair took eight weeks, which is about 4 times longer than other warranty repair I made with 3 other manufacturers - and I do not believe it was really fixed, but they did pay the shipping and made an effort - so that is something. Before I sent the gun in for repair it was very inaccurate - 20\" groups at 10 yards inaccurate. I believe the bullets were being damaged in chambering the round and this was affecting trajectory. When it was returned the accuracy was fine, 3-4\" groups at 10 yards which is as good as I am, so they did make an improvement. I could overlook the casings hitting me in the head, if the gun were reliable, but mine is not, even after being repaired. It jammed 3 times in shooting 80 rounds since being repaired - which is unacceptable to use as my CCW as I hoped. The rounds were brass cased FMJ round nose factory loads, nothing that would be difficult to feed. I would tend to suspect I was just unlucky as I cannot find complaints exactly like the problems I am having on the internet. Maybe Taurus will send me an extractor and let me replace it myself, as I think that is probably the problem with my gun. But I really am disenchanted with the entire experience with this gun and Taurus CS is not the easiest to work with.
