First purchase through Buds, easy transaction. The Taurus TCP is as described, & the reviews seen on other sights are pretty much on target. The pistol has shot with out failure using 3 different ammo brands. This can be concealed easily, it is so small I can cover it with my hand. The sights are difficult to pick up, I plan to add some color to them. Also the barrel & slide have some play, don't expect a tight fit. Mags are easy to load, although the10 round mag would not feed. Check out Hickok45 video on this Taurus 380.

Great Price! The price point was the main thing for a concealed carry firearm that is reliable. I don't think for $185 you could find a better pistol. I just picked the Taurus 738 TCP from my local ffl dealer. I haven't shot the firearm yet but will in the next week or so. The gun is very small which is a plus but with large hands like myself Ican barely get two fingers around it. I also bought a tactical grip for it that will be home delivered this week. I would recommend buying this to anyone who buys this pistol since both me and my fiance will have one. The other thing I plan on buying is the magazine extender to allow for a extra finger while firing. The reviews I have read before buying the pistol we're biased on either a magazine problem which isn't a big deal & not being able to fire the weapon. I hope those few people knew how to properly clean the firearm before firing. (Hint) "There shipped with packing grease and have been test fired so a good cleaning and CLP makes wonders. I have also read on here also about the feed ramp may need polishing but other than that it is a sound little pistol fo ra great price. Nothing a few hundred rounds can't do to break the pistol in and it will be reliable and polish the inside. I will reply with my thoughts on the gun whenever I send some rounds thru it. Thank you Buds for a great priced firearm! I will be buying a Mossberg Maverick 88 next here soon!

Great little gun for the money. Feeds everything I throw at it flawlessly, easy tear down, high quality, tight tolerances. Nice trigger (better than my friend's LCP) Goes bang every time with reloads, flat nose and round nose cast bullets. What more can you ask for for under $200? Also basically invisible as a CCW. This is the gun the LCP was based on, BTW.

Speedy shipping! Great little pistol. Grab one of these while they last at this price. First day we disassembled and cleaned, then hit the range. Performance was as expected at close range for this type of pistol - very accurate when handled properly. Absolutely no issues with FTF during break in with range grade ammo. Drew interest from range attendant when they could not identify the make/model. Got the impression they were going to buy one for themselves right away after checking ours out. It is a nice looking weapon as these things go. Weapon was suitable for a lady and those with weaker hands. For a man with large hands the grip is such that you can fire the pistol easily so that you don't get "bit" when the slide action moves back on firing. I've had issues with the Beretta's where the slide is so close to the grip you almost can't avoid it. Very pleased with purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for this type of weapon.

After so many positive reviews I decided to buy a Taurus TCP 738 over its competitors. I guess my expectation was too high this being my first Taurus. Buds shipped the gun very fast and I am very happy with their price and service however during my first day at the range with TCP I noticed the factory Taurus magazine and a promag kept falling off after the first shot. I thought I was accidentally pushing on the mag release as I was firing but it was not the case since I tried shooting with my thumb on the slide stop to see if it is the case. I even try wiggling the magazine while it is sitting in the gun and it turns out both the factory magazine and the promag were so poorly retained in the magazine well, even so mild wiggling cause them to come out loose from the gun. Very poor magazine retention design I have to say but I guess any manufacturer have to cut corners to make a such tiny gun. I have made a minor adjustment on the magazines by bending out the magazine retention hole a little bit to increase positive retention in the gun and it so far seems to work because I can't wiggle the magazine out of the any more but I will still have to go shoot a couple of hundreds rounds to see if this fixes the problem. Just be aware of this before you buy a TCP over a Ruger LCP. Something makes me think that I would not be having this problem with a LCP. On the positive note, TCP shoots very accurate and it has a very good trigger so I will try to make this work for those two reasons.

Have not had my TCP long but have shot about 50 rounds through it. So far so good, I shot a variety of rounds and it handled everything I threw at it. Accuracy was good at 21 feet; but the sights are hard to find when trying to fire rapidly. Heavy loads induced heavy recoil and was uncomfortable to the palm of my hand. Trying to unload the pistol is the only complaint I have. No matter what type of round was in the chamber it would not fully eject a loaded round. It made unloading a two person project. The round hangs up in the ejection port. No problem with ejection when shooting, only when clearing a loaded round. I measured the rounds and they are all proper length for a 380. The pistol is light, shoots well and small enough to conceal in pants pocket. For a small compact carry pistol it serves its purpose well; thus I would by it again if I needed one; you can't beat the price. Buds was good as always.
