Out of the box, the trigger seemed stiff. I lubed the action with ballistol and it completely changed the feel of the gun. I will admit I also polished the feed ramp with a dremel tool, which I do to all my guns that need it. I took it to the range with a Walther PPS, a Taurus G2, a Springfield XDS, and a SIG 2022. The end result was that the larger the gun, the better the group. The SIG was the hands down winner, and the second was the Walther PPS. But for the price, the 709 was completely reliable, and accurate for a compact pistol. This gun is a steal for the price. You only get one mag, but if you need more than eight shots, you already lost. I liked the feel of the G2 better, but it is $100 more. You don't need 12 rounds. Buy it.

Ordered on a Thursday, got it the following Tuesday! Great little gun. I am mostly a 45 ACP guy, but this little nine is really great! Light, reliably functioning, and amazingly accurate. Great gun for the price! Get you one, you won't be sorry!

Great option for a conceal carry weapon. Love the compact light feel of the gun. Recoil is surprisingly low to me for a gun of this size that is super light. Oh, and the price was super good. Arrived within a week of ordering it. Have bought several other guns from Buds and will certainly do so again in the future.

I received my Taurus PT 709 a few days ago. So far, I've only got about 50 rounds through it, but it seems reliable so far. I had one FTE which was due more to operator error than to the reliability of the piece. The price was so good, I couldn't pass it up. I purchased it along with a Taurus M85 which is also a very nice gun for the money. Without going into great detail, I can honestly say I like the 709 better than my PT 111 G2 which has, so far, worked flawlessly(500 Rds). Overall, I've been very pleased with my Taurus firearms, so much so that I ordered another 709 for my girlfriend to train with. After a few hundred rounds, if the gun continues to function reliably, I'll throw it into my rotation of ccw along with a few other very nice firearms from Bud's. To date, all of my transactions with Bud's Guns have been a pleasure. I'll review the other 709 when it comes in. CHEERS!!

Awesome gun for the money. No problems in the first 100 rounds. I have yet to try defensive ammo. I did take some time to deburr and polish a few things. Only down side is that it only comes with one mag and factory mags are relatively expensive. I did order a 10rd promag for $23. Promag is hit or miss. i do highly recommend this gun.
