I've had this gun for my CCW for a while now. I take it to the range and practice with it. With the exception of the magazine having problems in the beginning, the gun works well and does what it's intended to do. I did email the manufacturer and the sent me a new set of magazines. Now I have no problems with it. The iron sights are right on and I shoot anywhere between 10 yards and 50 yards. It's light weight and easy to handle. For a budget CCW, you can't go wrong.

Pistol came on time and in good condition. Cleaned and oiled it and went to the range....had no jams or misfires. Lightweight and concealable 9mm at a very reasonable price. Great customer service and lifetime warranty. Good pistol at reasonable price.

10/10 would buy again. American made. Works well after initial loosening up.

this is very nice gun shoot very well has a little kick ,first 5 rounds first 3 low and to the right last 2 bulls eye nice conceal carry.

I bought 2 of these 1 for my wife and 1 for me to keep in cars they shoot flawless and no issues , was easy to see all the positive YouTube reviews..

I cannot call this a reliable firearm after the experience I have had with it. First time with the SCCY at the range, it fired about 100 rounds, no malfunctions. Second time at range, after firing about 50 rounds it began to malfunction. I was able to pull the trigger full back without it dropping the hammer. The hammer will just hang in a rearward position. Sent the firearm back to SCCY with detailed description of problem. Received the "repaired" firearm about a week later. Back to the range, firearm seemed to be fixed. Now, without even firing a round. The firearm cold. I can only get a few normal trigger pulls before it begins to malfunction exactly the same as it did before it was "repaired" . At this point I would be more confident throwing the entire firearm at an attacker. I is so unreliable that I would feel guilty taking it to a pawn shop and cutting my losses. Because the next owner may actually need it to protect themselves.

POS donkey gun. Huge buyers regret. Should've just kept saving my money. If you're new to firearms please look at the Springfield XDS Mod2 instead... Put down $300 and the rest on layaway if you have too. This gun is horrible. Accuracy is random, slide release doesn't work, the internals are so worn after 30 rounds it looks like it's been through hell and back, rounds don't eject. It's a really thick gun too And no it's not ammo. Its just the horrible gun. And I'm not sending it back to SCCY. Im gonna sell it for $100 on gun broker. Enjoy lol

Gun was just as described! The only negative aspect of my transaction is the 5-7 day wait period before shipping!! Electronic transactions should, and in most all cases are extremely fast!!! Add to that, the shipper services, not efficient at all!! It took over 2 weeks for me to receive my gun!!! The electronic transfer of funds showed up immediately in my bank account!! Why the wait????

This CP1 was listed as "new" on Bud's site, however it shows signs of prior use outside of factory testing. First, the barrel containes a fair amount of particles that looked like "crumbs" in the area where the round enters the chamber and about 1/4" into the barrel. Secondly, one of the magazines has several scratches on one side just above the base plate. This was the first time I've seen this with a new purchase. Finally, the slide does not lock to the rear with an empty magazine. This is not good if ever faced with a situation that requires additional magazines. There's no way this gun should have passed a QA inspection. Unfortunately the FFL where I had it transferred was a home-based business. I did not fully inspect the weapon until I got back home.

Good gun, fits my medium-size hands well. Fired about 300 rounds in it with various types of 9mm Luger ammo.
In general, it doesn't like hollow-point - I got several failure-to-feed jams using it. FMJ rounds worked consistently well, as did syntech.
It's a light gun at 15 oz empty, so the kickback is *really* noticeable. In general, anything higher than 112 grain gives a pretty big kickback. Comparing 124 grain between the little CPX-1 and my H&K VP9 was quite different; at 26.5 oz, the VP9 did fine while the CPX-1 was painful. 9mm P? I don't even want to think about it, LOL.
Last but not least, the CPX-1's trigger-pull is *way* long, and heavy (7 pounds). I had shot about 100 rounds in it, switched over to my VP9, and BANG! The VP9's short trigger pull startled me at first. I understand there's a 3rd-party trigger-spring conversion kit from M*CARBO which fixes the trigger-pull issues. I'm going to invest in it.
In summary, a fun gun to shoot as long as you don't mind staying away from hollow point and getting used to the trigger-pull.

I was also pleased with the CPX1 handgun. It is surprisingly well made for its price-point. I spent a lot of time evaluating different firearms before deciding on the CPX1. I would have ordered a CPX2, without the external thumb safety, but they were unavailable. So I had to settle for a CPX1.
I would do business with Bud's Gun Shop again.

Bought this as a CC weapon based on super positive reviews online and youtube. I don't plan to use it very much other than to keep readily available in case of an emergency situation. I really wanted 9mm CC because I'm overstretched keeping so many calibers in stock for my other weapons. Buds had it delivered in a few days and it was in mint condition. This was my second purchase from Buds and both went seamlessly and they kept me in the loop with email notifications and on their website. Easy disassembly of the gun for cleaning before its first use. Put 100 rounds through it without issue. Good accuracy (given that I'm hardly the world's best shooter) and I could snap off 10 rounds quickly without a problem. As others have commented, the safety can dig into the web of your hand between thumb and forefinger, but I wanted a safety (the CPX-2 does not have a safety). Since this won't be one of my range guns (except occasional testing for familiarity), the little bit of nuisance, should I have to use the gun, isn't an issue. It certainly did not affect my ability to hold the gun properly or dispense its gifts for the bad guys. I would say it was a little larger and heavier than I anticipated, but suitable for my purposes (I keep it in a Sneaky Pete holster).

Great if you want to keep the costs down. Not so good if you are relying on it in a life/death situation - pick something else. I like the firearms ability to conceal, fits nicely in my hand comparatively speaking. Doesn't have too much perceived recoil in its own design. Have had it for quite a while but only spent around 60 times firing before consistent failures. Began experiencing multiple FTE's. The manufacture was quick to support their warranty and offered to repair the item or ship the part to have it installed by a qualified party. We had the part shipped, is in hand, but have lost interested. For something to fail so quickly makes us feel that even if we fix it up, reliability may not be something we think of in the future for this gun. Was going to rate this one in the 'middle' of the road due to lack of reliability (especially so early on) but they back up their warranty and are amazingly easy to work with - that says a lot about the company. 4.0

This was my EDC until I got the Taurus 605 revolver. I still carry this on occasion, depending on what I am wearing. It shoots nice and the size and weight are perfect. Their customer support is also top notch! (Can't go wrong with a 100%, no questions asked, guarantee, FOREVER!)

Not a bad gun for the price plus it shipped in a timely manner. I will order again.
