Shoots high but always very near the other holes in the target. Great conceal carry gun that is always in my truck console. Great product and price

Nice small pistol that is easy to carry. Shoots very accurately once you learn how to stage the DAO trigger. Excellent sights. Only complaint would be how tricky it is to takedown the gun. For the price, it's a good buy for a deep concealment option.

People's opinions vary on most anything, but in my opinion Sig made the almost perfect pocket pistol with the P290 RS. The DAO trigger reset could be better, but that becomes less of a problem the more you shoot this little gun. And, this is a little gun that you WILL want to shoot. Unlike other small guns the P290 is a heavy weight at approx. 20 oz. unloaded and this contributes to it's pleasant felt recoil. Great little auto pistol. Wish I had a pair of them.

Sig P290RS is a great carry gun but the trigger is not as good as P250. It is easier to conceal.

My first purchase from Bud's was positive. The process was simple & easy, and the product was received in perfect condition & as advertised. Very impressed with this whole experience, and I'll surely be a repeat Customer!

This is a 100% reliable firearm after receiving I cleaned and lubricated Loaded up 250 rds of ammo fmj and hollow points with different powder combinations no jams no failure to fire. greatest accuracy came from heavier bullets. trigger is a little heavy but did not affect accuracy

I want to start off by saying that Buds was great with this transaction. I received the firearm quickly and in good condition. Now the firearm on the other hand is worthless. I would not believe it was a Sig except that its stamped on there. I have about 150 rounds through it and it had about 30-40 FTF. I purchased this as a concealed carry weapon and as my backup carry and I would never trust this in an emergency situation. I was using Federal ammo with it and it worked but had FTF 20-25% of the time. I also tried very cheap ammo and that did not work at all. It fired one shot out of 50 that were brown bear 9mm ammo. Save your money a little longer and purchase the p239 for concealed carry. Its bigger than this but at least its dependable too. My p226 has never had a problem so it must just be that in trying to make something so small they lost quality. Please do not purchase this gun even as a range gun it is poor.

I like this pistol but there's no denying it's not for everyone. It has a very long trigger pull. I mean really, really long with a let-off very deep in the pull. If you're used to DA/SA autos or DA only revolvers, you'll still have to make adjustments to your trigger technique to learn this gun. Now some say the trigger pull is heavy. Not true. It's really quite light but the length of pull makes many people think it's heavier than it really is. It also is very small with a very rough grip surface. You can improve the grip surface with a rubber grip sock, cut to fit. The standard 6-round magazine leaves your pinkie hanging out in the wind and this doesn't help with leverage and trigger control. Unfortunately, the 8-round magazine compromises concealment and spare mags often have the habit of letting rounds pop out in your pocket when carrying and at least one of my 8-rounders will not allow the first round to feed from a closed slide position. I wish SIG made 7-round magazines for this gun. Or at least make a 6-round magazine floorplate with more of a pinkie extension. The little nub on the regular 6-rounders is worthless. What it has going for it is 100% reliability, something SIG is known for. Honestly, I don't recall a single failure to feed out of nearly 1000 rounds thus far. I have had a couple of failures to fire with Tula and Geco range ammo--both known to have hard primers. No problems with any other brands of ammo or with any type or brand of self defense ammo. I also love the standard night sights. They're easy to pick up quickly and return to target. The gun also has a solid feel. Once you learn to field strip it, it's an easy task to disassemble for regular cleaning and lubrication. It's small and easily pocketable. It's powerful. It's reliable. You have to put forth a lot of range time to learn the trigger, figure out what ammo works best with it and make sure your magazines work properly. Once you get yourself and your gun tuned in, it's a great little self defense pistol. It's not perfect but it's real good.

On paper it seems like a great pistol. Light, compact, reliable, D/A only with re-strike, interchangeable grip panels, etc. But on the range it is pretty hard to shoot. The trigger is awful - heavy, long, and inconsistent reset. It's not a gun that you wanna shoot constantly at the range but with the way it shoots, you need to spend a lot of time with it on the range. Especially if it is going to be your EDC. It's not like you get good with your Glock 19 or your duty P229 and transition to the P290 with only a familiarization shoot. This gun takes a lot of practice. Second, is the ergonomics and the rough textured grips. It is very aggressive and sandpaper-like. It will rub and fray your over garment, especially any light nylon, silk, rayon type summer shirt. Which is a huge disappointment considering I bought it specifically for summer carry and it almost ruined my nice lightweight Columbia PFG and Under Armour fishing shirts.

Buds was great as usual. Like the gun except for the long trigger pull. No problems and have 200 rounds thru it so far. Field strip is a pain, you have to hold back the slide while pulling the pin. Not good for my hands but I can get it done.

This is a great piece and It is a great shooter as well. Everything that it comes with works well. The small clip carries nice and the larger clip is great while the gun is in the nightstand.
