I bought on of these in .223 & I a VERY pleased. I mounted a 3 X 9 scope on it & it makes little clover leaves at 100 yds. I want to get another one in 7.62 X 39 as soon as y'all get some in.

I used this rifle in 223 caliber to teach a woman how to shoot and have to praise it. It was perfect for the job, high powered but mild recoil. It is ideal for bringing a youngster into high powered rifle shooting whose previous experience was a rim fire or pellet gun. The simplicity of a break open single shot is makes it easy to teach a rookie shooter safe handling. I can assure you, you will get allot more than your money's worth as far as accuracy. For the price I was expecting mediocre shot strings. Surprisingly bench rested, through the iron sights, at 50 yards it printed a cluster with an occasional flyer. Even the cheapie Russian steel cased ammo scored allot better than I expected. I was cruising Bud's website because I'm considering buying another in a larger caliber. I also wanted to take a look at the shotgun/rifle combos I will likely buy for my Grandson's birthday. I just had to stop and write, to say how pleased I am with Rossi's rifle.
