When I pull this out to shoot, it feels like I'm shooting a piece of history. The weight and operations minic its namesake. The rifle shoots reliably and accurately.

The ati gsg stg 44 .22lr this rifle is heavey and appears to be built like a tank. Have not shot this beauty yet, the ranges are still closed due to the coronavirus. The only downside that I know of so far , is it comes with only 1 mag, and finding extras is like finding a unicorn in your front yard. And cost a Benjamin if 1 does appear. That being said, this rifle feels like quality! All the reviews I've seen have been quite positive. This price that budsgunshop is selling it for is awesome! $357.00 when this rifle first came out it commanded 600+ glad I bought it. I appreciate budsgunshop a lot. I've bought several firearms, not 1 problem , I'll continue to do business thanks budsgunshop for free shipping and great prices.

I always wanted a STG 44 but did not have the $30.000 to buy one so the STG-44 in 22LR is as close as i will get. It is a well made product and once you get it sighted in it was a good shooter.

.22 caliber reproduction of the German 1944 StG44 Assault Rifle. A great shooter, no problems. Cycles well, no jams. Lots of fun plinking with 25round magazines. Weighs within 1lb of Original rifle. Well made, ez to assemble and disassemble. An absolute fantastic varment getter!!! Lol 😆 Would recommend.

This is about as close as I will get to the real thing. Nice weight, love that the gun is nearly identical to the original. Only issue is I ordered one in the Amish box however mine was delivered in a cardboard box . I called Buds and was informed that ATI no longer ships in the box. They offered a credit and I accepted, quick and easy. Glad to do business with Buds.

Man, I can't believe I paid over $600 for this when it first came out! But I did, because I had to have it and be the first one to have it. These have dropped in price considerably since they were initially sold, down to around $300 and some change. Mine functions fine and it feels great. I have fired a real STG 44, and I can tell you that this is nowhere as nice as the real thing, nor is the recoil anything like it (go figure). But the feel of the weight, the way that it handles, it's as close to the real thing as I'm going to get with the prohibitive price keeping me from owning one myself. It's made kind of cheap internally, but I had no problems feeding or shooting. I think I'd like to get one of the semi-auto ones that have just came out in the Kurtz or even the 7.62x39 - those aren't made by GSG. Those are supposed to be as close to the real full auto stg44 as you can get. I took one star off just because it seems that they used cheap material on the internals of the weapon - almost like a pot metal. I was expecting a little better quality.

Really fun .22! HEAVY and appears very well made and solid. Ran three magazines of bulk Winchester (I purchased extra mags) in rapid succession with no FTFs or any issues. Shot right out of the box and sights were pretty well on target. Thanks Buds!

STG44 arrived today, excellent craftsmanship. Functions flawlessly. Have many 22 caliber rifles, this is now my favorite. Buds Gun Shop customer service personal were very helpful and had knowledge of their product. The price beat many other on-line dealers, even the brick and mortar gun shop i use. Was a little skeptic purchasing a fire arm on line, but Buds has made me confident now to continue buying from them. Fast prompt service, excellent prices, items received are as described, this satisfied customer will be returning for more. Sincerely; Henry Bearse

Very nice little gun. Loaded it up with 25 rounds and went out to give it a try. 25 rounds fired without any misfires, or jamming. Seems to be pretty accurate too. As with most others who have reviewed the STG-44, the wooded crate the "skilled Amish" assembled is junk, but worth buying it with the wooden case over the cardboard box. The entire purchase was effortless and I'd buy from Bud's again. Thanks!

Fantastic transaction with Buds. I have read a lot of complaints about the case this gun comes in. For heavens sake it is a cheap wood box to transport your firearm. It is not a museum piece. The gun and box are great. I would recommend this gun to anyone. Great firearm and not picky with ammo. Fun to shoot. A

It does have some play in the stock after you attach it to the rest of the rifle. I shimmed it up some with electrical tape and that took out most of the wobble. The rear sights are not calibrated to the .22 cartridge so I had to set the elevation at "600 meters" in order to hit the target at 50 yards. It's no target rifle but it is a fun plinker and that's what it was made for! So far the only problem I have had with it is failure to feed from the magazine. You do have to pay special attention when loading the mag and if you do then it seems to run just fine. Over all I would say that this is a must have rifle if you are into historical military firearms, even though this is only a reproduction in .22LR. Now I just sit back and wait for more .22 ammo to show back up on the shelves!

The rifle came in a cardboard box with one 25 round magazine. The price was great at $350.00 delivered. The fit and finish on the rifle is solid, and the wood stock is nice looking. The rifle breaks down easily and appears to be made well. I took the rifle out to the range today and fired 200+ rounds through it, from two 25 round magazines, from GSG. The rifle was accurate, however, it will shoot a bit low within 100 yards. The rifle functioned flawlessly with high velocity ammo, through both magazines; with standard velocity ammo the rifle had a few feeding issues, but that was expected, as the rifle is intended for high velocity ammo. The rifle is accurate, 100% reliable with high velocity ammo, looks cool, and is a blast to shoot. Whats not to love?

This rifle is the cat's meow. Very nice all the way around. Fires perfectly. No problems at the range. works very well. High quality workmanship.the only negative is that it is quite heavy; ten pounds. Overall, I am very happy with this gun.

I purchased one of the STG44/22's a few weeks ago from Bud's and I am very pleased with the service that they provide. Also, I have been very pleased with the weapon and its performance; I have never owned an actual STG44 but I have seen one up close and I am surprised at how accurately GSG has produced their .22 versionl

Thank You, Bud's. I never imagined that a 22 rifle could be this much fun. I am very pleased with the looks, handling and accuracy of this weapon, and with the friendly pricing. There is no place, like Bud's!

I picked up this rifle today and give BudsGunShop an A for their fast shipping. This rifle came in the wooden crate and is most desirable to have as a collectable these crates are not available in most cases as i was told from looking on Utube. I cannot say that this rifle was inspected before shipping and I do believe that when it arrived at my FFL dealer someone open the crate and started to play with this gun. I did not make an issue out of it as it seemed in tact. when I got it home and started to see what was disturbed the stock would not fit to the gun. Going thru the instructions i was able to get everything in working order. This was a great purchase and I look forward to buying more firearms from BudsGunShop

It was exciting to receive the ATI GSG 44X 22LR 16.5 WD 25, and it exceeded my expectations. The rifle fires well and that is attributable to its manufacturer. One thing prospective buyers should be aware of, however, is in loading .22 into the magazine. You must load slowly making sure each cartridge is in the correct position or the mag will foul up. Aside from that, no complaints. Bud's does a good job. I am looking forward to the .22 cal version of the MP40 that is scheduled to come out in April or May, 2014

Extremely well made rifle. All metal and wood construction except for the magazine which is synthetic. 250 rounds through it and not a single problem even with cheap ammo. Very fun to shoot and gets lots of looks and compliments from other shooters. Very pleased with the purchase.

just received my order stg-44 22lr. was very satisfied with the firearm, but was surprised how piss poor the crate was made. the wood on the end boards were split and busted from driving the wood screws in. one end board was a quarter-inch shorter than the other end causing a gap which they tried to close with the wood screws. the only parts of the crate that weren't split, cracked or chipped was the top and bottom. what ever you are charging for that crate in this condition is to much. it did protect my rifle. thank you carl j. burk

Once again, Buds comes through. Fast shipment and great service. The gun itself is absolutely unique. It gets a lot of looks when I take it to the range. People ask what it is and where can they get one. Its a blast to shoot. Very acurate, fairly easy to clean. Its heavy like the original was I assume. The crate it comes in is a collectors item as well. In this day of ridiculous pricing, its affordable to shoot as well. I saw the cover of "Shotgun News" and said "i have to have that". Glad I did and would do it again.

This is a faithful reproduction of the STG-44 in .22 caliber, and it's well made. The pine box the rifle is shipped in is a nice touch, just make sure you hold the back of the receiver when removing the gun or parts will come popping out the back when you go to put the stock on. My only complaint was that the weapon was placed in the box when the expanding polyurethane foam they used in packing was not full cured - although the receiver and stock were packed in plastic bags, the entire right side of the grip was exposed and was covered in foam. It came off the metal parts with a little scraping with a plastic edge, but this stuff can't be removed from the grip with any solvent, only scraping and sanding will get it off, which will ruin it. I contacted American Tactical Imports customer service and they responded immediately, agreeing to send me a new grip from Germany in 30 to 60 days. I was satisfied with that resolution, as the messed-up grip doesn't affect the functioning of the rifle in any way.
