For the price point the fit and finish was good. Everything about the slide assembly including the barrel was well made. The receiver was just OK. The slide rails appeared to be stamped not machined. The grip was good and fit well. Now comes the con. The trigger was terrible. Even after installing both Apex spring & trigger kits. The sear didn\'t resemble anything like I had seen in any video. All plastic save for the actual sear piece and that was poorly finished crude metal. Again appeared stamped not machined (MIM?) Save your money. Buds as always was a good experience

Excellent option for a budget starter handgun. Bought this almost 4 years ago as my first handgun, before state laws were to change making me unable to purchase with a high magazine capacity and it has been nothing but great. Very rugged, simple, lightweight construction and very comparable to a more expensive (and pickier when it comes to ammo) Glock 17, 19, or 22 in terms of breakdown and maintenance. Paid $315 + insurance with Buds when said Glocks were running $450-$600. My brother-in-law has an almost identical Glock 19 (right down to the slide finish) and went to the range with him; his Glock on the federal ammunition we were using: Fire-jam-clear-repeat (had to use more expensive ammo due to finicky nature of his firearm); my SD9VE: Fire-fire-fire-etc(x16) and reload. I have used top of the line ammunition right down to the bottom of the barrel Tulammo and BrassMaxx and the SD9VE will cycle anything you feed it. In 3+ years and probably close to 2500 rounds at the range, I've had three stovepipes (probably due to the particular round malfunction) and ONE jam. Even put 20 or so rounds of +P through it and it cycled like a dream (I use Winchester PDX +P JHP for home/self defense). Be aware, however: the SD trigger is on the heavy side; there will be no accidental discharge from light trigger pull (say, for example, in a Glock or similar Ruger). Great experience with Buds. Order was placed, FFL dealer was contacted, firearm was shipped, transfer was made, and I was home with my first pistol in a period of 10 days (in a state which requires a 7-day waiting period for background checks before possession). Would definitely recommend for first time handgun owners on a budget that are looking for controllable recoil, accuracy, and dependability. Five Stars. "...SHALL NOT be infringed."

Money well spent. The only change I have made is an apex kit install.
