First I think I got a very good price. I used Bud's layaway, very nice. It worked out keeping the gun till I sold a pistol in order to buy the CZ-75. The Pistol is VERY well built ! It shoots very well. Trigger is a little hard, but I think it needs a good brake in period. This is the first of 3, 9mm that I can hit a target with. Its a shooter !

As advertised........... I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the cz 75bd, countless hours spent reading review after review, forum after forum. I can now say first hand that every word is true, this firearm is as advertised. The ergonomics are 100% perfect. The sights are dead on perfect. The all steel construction mutes recoil and muzzle flip. My only regret is waiting this long to buy one. If you are thinking about a cz 75b for your next or first purchase, you will not be disappointed.

Bought this gun from Bud's about a year ago and paid quite a bit more than it is going for now. When it arrived there was a chip in the corner of the grip. After attaching a photo of it in an email to CZ's service department a new set of grips arrived quickly. The finish is a nice all black coating that, while not "pretty" like a nice blue, seems to wear well. The biggest problem I had was the decocking lever was tight tight tight. And the DA trigger pull was heavy! And accuracy was only so so. All of this for the first 300-500 rounds. After cocking and decocking the gun what seemed like a thousand times, and dry firing it about the same, the gun has smoothed out very nicely. The decocking lever works fine now, and the trigger pull is much better. Even the accuracy has improved, not fantastic, but very acceptable. Very comfortable to shoot. If you are looking for an all steel gun to shoot, this gun will fit the bill nicely. Just be prepared for some time breaking it in. And even during the breaking in period, I never had a FTF or FTE.

Excellent firearm. Very balanced and accurate shooting. I have shot CCI Blazer, Winchester and Hornaday Critical Defense and they all feed and shot fine. My gun has not been modified however it seems there is a very large after market support and parts availability for the CZ75.

Received the gun 4 days ago and have put 150 rds of mixed handloads through it with no Failures. I would normally wait until the gun was broken-in to review but it isn’t necessary with this CZ. The gun arrived fairly clean and after stripping it down I was impressed with the workmanship. I have read that CZ machine-cycles their pistols after assembly and this seems true. The frame and slide rails appear to have had several hundred rounds across them showing bright metal. The slide action is Very smooth out of the box. CZ doesn’t cycle the trigger though. I dry-fired the gun about 300 times and the trigger now is coming in. Double-Action pull is smoothing out and has a workable pull weight of about 8-9 lbs. The single action pull is smoothing out at about 5 lbs but has noticeable travel (creep) to a sharp break. You will not mistake this for a 1911. A trigger job may be in the future but for now I am going to shoot the gun as is. The finish is fashionable ‘tactical-cool’ matt black polycoat. There is no fashionable ‘tactical-cool’ rail to hang fashionable ‘tactical-cool’ do-dads off of which for me is a selling point. I prefer unfashionable ‘tactical-cool’-free guns. I don’t care for any 3-dot sights but the people who do like them will be satisfied with the sights supplied with the gun. The CZ 75 has a reputation for accuracy and this pistol lives up to it. Haven’t shot it off sand bags yet but off-hand; after getting adjusted to the trigger action, figuring out the grip, and the sights, it shot very well for me about 2” groups at 15 yrds. Sights were dead on windage and trifle high elevation. More practice and tweaking the gun a bit should improve the groups. Like I said going to shoot the gun more before doing anything else with it. CZ makes quality guns and this one was an example.

I ordered on Sunday night and received on Thursday. The CZ 75BD Police is AWESOME! This is my 4th 9mm and the fit and finish and machining are both perfect on this one. Even the barrel looks perfect, which is not always the case with the Eastern European manufacturers. I like the fact that this pistol actually says "Police" on the slide, that makes it unique in my opinion. The serrated trigger feels great, the stippling on the front and back of the grip feel good, and I really like the loaded round indicator that pops up on top when a round is chambered. I have no doubt it will be accurate because everything fits together so precisely. I can't wait to get it to the range. I hate to review a pistol without shooting it first, but I was so impressed with this pistol right away that I wanted to post it. Great price for a pistol that should cost hundreds more! The decocker works great too; this is my first pistol with the decocker and I'm a fan already. This should be a must for your arsenal if you're looking for a 9mm. The cool thing is, CZ sells the Cadet conversion kit too, which will enable you to have a top notch .22 handgun by simply swapping out the upper part of this pistol and it can be done in a matter of seconds. I plan to add that later when they come back in stock at Bud's.
