What a great little gun. I've put about 500 rounds through it. A mix of cheap and CCI Stingers. It doesn't seem to care. Extremely accurate, point and click. It seems to aim itself. The gun looks and feels amazing. Astonishing quality. It's just perfect. Thanks Bud's!!

Still sighting in, but love the gun. This will be my go-to gun for the indoor range

Haven't fired it yet but love the look and feel. It's a nice looking compact 22 and will be fun at the range! Great speedy service from Buds, will purchase from here again

Nicest .22 auto I have ever shot. Runs great with a variety of ammo. I'm not even a Walther fan.

Walther quality at a good price. Gun feels solid in my hand and being of .22 cal there is very little recoil, easy to keep on target. Easy online purchase thru Bud’s.

Place this little diamond in anyone's hand, and they will exclaim how "nice" it is. It is almost like a heavy toy, but sounds a little lower, darker, when the slide is racked vs. a metal toy. Shoot it, and know something called "fun". When you're leaving the range, you're thinking about when you can shoot the nickel PPK/S chambered in .22 LR. By the way, I have since learned that there is an ammunition than came out a couple of years ago from Federal, called "Punch" in nickel that mates nicely with this handgun. As always, make sure to grab extra magazines when they are available. There was a time when I couldn't find a magazine for this gun, then, they became available before a resupply of this handgun's availability. Anyway, there's a reason why so many of these guns are sold. The public hive doesn't lie. Unless they are all brainwashed, and everyone knows that anyone who owns, carries, or works with firearms could never be brainwashed. It's about the sheer unpredictability of a laser beam (bullet) leaving the front of my hand (muzzle), which carries a potentially lethal garment to it. It's late, and I'm having fun typing. Lastly, here's a shout out to Bud's. Of course I got fast shipping on the ammo, Bud's is amazingly zippy. But then there was a delay with the pistol being sent. And you know what? On 12/12/23 I got a blast email from Bud's that was informative, heart-warming, honest, and extremely well-written; detailing the why's and how s they were struggling with some things due to fewer personnel, and changes in the availability market. It was almost as if they were writing it to ME, but it was a general email sent out to verified customers and I really appreciated it. Lastly, the ammunition I mentioned above is, as of this writing, the cheapest on Bud's... anywhere online. Thanks, guys!

Walther 22 a fun little gun to shoot and accurate shot over 2000 rounds and no miss fire yet. And a fair price for it. Thanks Buds

I took this to the range and fired 200 rounds. I went back to the range again and put thru a total of about 500 rounds. Thru it with no problem. The finish is excellent. I would give this 5 stars. I have used Buds for several years they are always great and my product arrives when expected.

This is the .22 long rifle version of the Classic James Bond gun. Great price from Buds and i love the gun. Easy to shoot and to conceal. Compared to modern 'plastic' guns, this gun is heavy just like they used to be -- makes it even more like the original PPK.

Good price and service from Buds, however safety is so stiff cannot be manually activated.

This pistol is the most comfortable fitting in the hand of any handgun. I still want the .380 version and hope to get it soon.

I have wanted a Walther PPK/S for longer than I can remember. Buds had a great price and so I jumped on it. I am amazed at how well Buds stayed in touch giving me updates on the status of my order. Usually, I have to check on order progress to get information but not so with Buds. It shipped and arrived promptly and was 100% spot on as described on Buds web site. I could not be happier with the purchase and with Buds outstanding customer service and communication. I cannot recommend this dealer enough.

Well I read a lot about this pistol’s FTF, FTE, and jams. So to start with after 200 I’ve only had one light primer strike and one failure to eject. That was using Remington 36 grain standard ammo, Fiocchi 36 grain, CCI high velocity, 40 grain, and CCI 36 grain standard velocity. So I see no problems with that considering it isn’t broke in yet. However the lettering on the slide looks like something you would see on a toy gun and the rear sight could also be seen on a toy gun. Plinking at 21’ is pretty much right on, although even with the taller front sight I still shoot a little high. Overall, for the price, it’s a deal that’s hard to beat. I did also order some wooden grips with the walther name engraved on them and they wouldn’t fit the new design of the PPK/S grip frame.

Tried many brands of 22lr. Ammo. All HV including CCI mini mags. Almost every mag had a problem. Either light strikes fail to fire or fail to extract. Sent it to walther. Came back saying they replaced the barrell. Tested about 125 more rounds. Exact same numerous problems. Sent it in again. Have not received it back yet. Do not recommend it.

I have about 1000 rounds through this pistol so far. Unfortunately, I lost track of how many malfunctions I've had. During the first 500 rounds, I had at least two malfunctions for every magazine. It has been performing better the more rounds I've put through it to the point where it's now malfunctioning once every couple magazines. So, we'll say 150 malfunctions on the conservative side of the estimation. I always run my firearms lubricated, so that wasn't the issue. I've ran just about every brand of ammo through it. It actually hates CCI mini mags even though most people recommend those. It shoots best on Remington Thunderbolts which is great since those are some of the cheapest .22 rounds I can find. I bought this because one of my primary carry arms is the .380 PPK/S. It has the same manual of arms (safety decocker). I figured I could train with this and save a lot of money. In a way, it kind of fulfills that need. It is cheaper to shoot for sure. I just hope it continues to become more reliable as I break it in. As far as accuracy is concerned, it shoots like a laser gun. It barely has any recoil and I can easily put 2 inch groups on target at 25 ft at a rate of around 1 rnd/sec. That is, of course, when it doesn't malfunction. I'm a huge fan of the aesthetics of the PPK/S. It's a beautiful firearm. However, the fit and finish is nowhere close to the .380 version. That kind of makes sense. It is just a .22 after all, but there are other options out there with the same level of fit and finish that are far more reliable. Overall, I don't regret the purchase, and I still take it to the range more often than not, but I think Walther needs to seriously consider doing a redesign of this pistol. It's certainly hurting their reputation.

My favorite gun. Well made, accurate, and inexpensive to shoot. Can be finicky about ammo but CCI mini mags have worked well.

Fun little gun when it wants to work. Heaviest DA trigger ever. With the factory hammer spring the gun would not fully cycle with some ammo. It would cycle just far enough to eject and load a new round but not fully cock the hammer. Luckily, the recoil spring is too light to induce a free run. I replaced the hammer spring with something with a bit more realistic weight and the new lighter spring corrected the issue. The ejector has issues now and again. Got to keep it clean. A little on the pricey side for what you get, imho. There's better 22s.

Fun little gun. Perfect for my kids to plink. Definitely likes hot ammo 40 grain and no less than 38. Shot 200 mini mags and no issues. If I had to gripe extra magazines are EXPENSIVE! Giving it 4 stars because of the magazine cost.
