I had this revolver sent to my FFL which is also the range I belong to and it went very smooth and faster than expected. This isn\'t my first purchase from Bud\'s and they have been consistently better than expected. I unboxed the gun and took it right into the range to fire it. I bought it as a novelty gun that would look good next to the \"real cowboy guns\" so I didn\'t have huge expectations for it. I will report that the damn thing is well built and shoots straight. Appearance is very good. I was able to get very tight grouping at 7 yards. So I moved out to 15 yards and while the grouping wasn\'t quite as tight it was still very good. I started out firing CCI Mini Mags which as far as I\'m concerned is the gold standard for .22 ammo. I then switched to Federal Auto Match and then cheap Remington ammo that wont feed through my automatics. All ammo fired fine and didn\'t see much difference in accuracy. Total of 250 rounds fired and not a single issue. I recommend this revolver and I believe if you have realistic expectations you won\'t be disappointed.

Was very pleased with the price of the Heritage Rough Rider, the quality of this revolver is sufficient for the price I paid. I have not yet had the opportunity to go to the range to fire it, but don't expect any problems. Not the quality of a Ruger Single Six, but OK for the price. Great bargain. I recommend as a great plinker.

I purchased this old style 6 shooter for my wife, since she had wanted one since a child. We've been to the range twice with this revolver, shooting about 220 rounds with it so far. It's really fun to shoot (she let me try it twice)! While it might take a little longer to shoot each round, since the hammer must be cocked back before each shot, and each empty 22LR shell must be ejected manually (built in ejector works really well), it is more realistic, more true to the original cowboy 6-shooter. My wife said it's quite accurate also. You have to get used to aiming it and holding it correctly, just like with any new, unfamiliar pistol. Unlike the original colt, it has a built-in safety lever, making it impossible to fire while the safety is on. Cleaning? It's easy to clean, she says, since the cylinder comes out easily for cleaning. Cost? Sure beats the cost of shooting with expensive ammo, so it's more fun, knowing that you're not breaking the bank with 22 LR ammo.
