For a relatively inexpensive pistol it is anything but cheap. The pistol is well designed and proportioned giving it a nice heft in and size hand. The barrel and cylinders (22lr/22Mag) are all steel and beautifully blued, the back-strap and frame appear to be an alloy and painted with a perfectly matching color giving the gun a very handsome appearance which the wooden grips only enhance more. The red/green adjustable optical sights are a dream to use and make it very easy putting rounds in the 10 ring. Speaking of the 10 ring we took the pistol straight from the store downstairs to the shooting range and ran 300 22LR and 50 22Mag through it without a hitch, switching cylinders was quick and easy, no catches or snares. The action is smooth and crisp with a very usable trigger pull, producing 2\" groups at 20-25 yards was not a problem and this little beauty was hungry for more. I give the pistol 5 stars.

This is a 2nd review of this weapon. My first was 3 stars cuz they sent me a broke one. They did fix it for me after me paying shipping. Sending it to FL for repair, till I got it back was right at 3 weeks. Not bad. Hi-Point and Kel-Tec have better warranty service in many cases. They had a sheet saying how that had redrilled the cylinder to correct 22M specs. It seemed to be the case. My old cylinder had been fixed and sent back. It worked fine after that. I now reward them 4 stars for fixing their DOA. I like the weapon! Accurate, Clumsy, Fun to Shoot!. It has a super safe action for new shooters, and is a smallish caliber for them.

I got one of these from Buds and it's nice! You'd never know it's not a steel frame from it's weight. The sights are very good. Now I know that Single Action on these means pull the hammer back with your thumb before every shot. It was very accurate. I'm only giving it 3 stars because mine arrived defective. The 22LR cylinder works fine. The 22M cylinder has one chamber that the shells won't seat all the way down. This makes it bind and the cylinder won't rotate when all the chambers are loaded. It took Heritage 3 days to answer my email. They are having me pay shipping to them for the bad cylinder. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't defective right out of the box. Maybe 4 if they paid shipping on DOA repairs.

I just picked one of these up locally today and stopped for testing on the way home. I fired colibri, sub sonic sniper, long rifle, long rifle shotshell, magnum hollowpoint and magnum shotshell rounds (about 100 total) with no problem. The adjustable sights are very easy to see and the soda cans stood no chance at 25 paces. So far it's just what I wanted - an inexpensive handgun that uses inexpensive ammunition, goes bang when I pull the trigger, has many uses with all the different ammo it can use, and also has a bit of the old west to it.
