I waited to submit this review, because, out of the box, there were some cycling issues with this gun. The last shell in the magazine would often be stuck and would not pop out enough to cycle. Sometimes, it would happen to an earlier round. Remembering that this is essentially a Remington 870 clone, I ordered new 870 parts for the magazine, including a "police model" magazine spring. Total cost was less than $20.00, including shipping. Now the gun cycles as smoothly and reliably as any shotgun I have fired, and I completely trust it for home defense. And it is still a bargain!

Bought one of these when a little cheaper. Put a pistol grip on it for a Remington 870 and it fit like a glove, oredered a longer barrel from Cabelas and it wouldn't fit at all. Forearm stock mount in wrong place, wouldn't lock in reciever so don't try that. Had to send back. Pretty much like 870 though. Shoots well, I locktited my ghost ring sights in and have had no trouble at all. Overall pleased with this gun. Wish I had my Norinco breakdown 22 (like Browning) back and the 1911 45 I gave to my son. The 22 was stolen, it was best shooting 22 rifle I ever owned. Can't find another. Don't think gov. will let Norinco import either of those again, dang shame.... Thank you Buds.

This is my 2nd 982 from buds. I bought it as a throw behind the seat type deal. The finish on this one is so bad, I was going to send it back, even though I bought it to essentially take a beating. It looks like someone in China or at Bud's was eating cheetos while looking at the shotgun. I will update if there are any mechanical issues.

Rear sight was a little loose but I tightened it down once and put 50 rounds through it and was still very accurate at 25 yards. Puts bird shot in a nice 8-10 inch group at that range buckshot seemed about the same.

I bought 3 of these, all three arrived in mint condition. I have not had the chance to test them, that is my son's job. This feels right because it s the exact sme feeling in my hands as my 870. Buy this you will not regret it, Bud's service, top notch.
