I am pleasantly surprised with this firearm, no really... People tend to nit pick every little detail and I can not understand why this pistol really hits it out of the park for quality, function and features and value. I wanted a pistol that was not just another common striker fired polymer clone . I wanted a hammer fired 40 S&W that was double single action a manual safety de-cocker with the option of carrying cocked & locked, I got it all with this Taurus TH40. Full sized but not too large for canceled carry 4.25" barrel and 15 + 1 of 40 S&W. Fit and finish is impressive especially for a $300.00 pistol, the small details like a beveled magazine well, rigid frame with a two slot accessory rail under the dust cover, Novak 3 dot (steel) sights, a stainless steel barrel, polished double feed ramp (one in the frame where it butts the barrel feed ramp), nice generous beaver tail, under cut trigger guard, thumb rests, ambidextrous safety levers slide stop levers & magazine release button, great aggressive texture on the grip with 3 interchangeable back straps, left & right memory pads (and or "gas peddles") to rest your trigger finger or thumb. In addition a nice hard plastic case, two high quality 15 round MEC-GAR magazines and a small packet of tools for I assume punching out various pins and a cable lock. It even has a lanyard loop if you want or need to leash your pistol. I am very pleased and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for such a pistol. Everything you need and nothing you don't at a very reasonable price. Thank you Buds!

Taurus gets a bad rap. This is a staple for me. Just the right weight. Good grouping. Moderately modifable.

Good looking firearm. I've heard good things about this Taurus TH plus I needed to add another 40 call to my inventory. Feels great in my hand, and love the safety/de-cocker switch. It also comes in a hard case which is a big plus for me.

Pretty decent gun it shoots pretty good for a budget pistol the trigger could use a tweaking but it's a double action trigger so that's to be expected. I shot the gun at 25 yards and had I nice group around 4" moa off hand so I'm pretty pleased with how this gun shoots for the price thanks buds like always your services where spot on thanks again.

Good gun overall. Have put 360 rounds through it so far, with no malfuntions. Novack sights and Mec-Gar magazines are a plus. Trigger was a little bit gritty &heavy at first but is starting to wear in and smooth out. Magazine release button was very heavy had to use my trigger finger to operate it. Ambi. contols.But that issue is starting to improve with use. Overall quality of manufacture & materials is very good. I am satisfied with my purchace, product is worth the price. Love the Taurus TH 40. Hammer fired gives you second chance firing. Ambidextrous safety and magazine release are great for both hand usage. The TH40 shoots awesome. I was trying slow fire for accuracy, but I was hitting so close to center that I sped up and still kept the accuracy. This type of accuracy with a reasonable price point makes this for a very sweet pistol. The magazine rattled when inserted into the pistol. I put a thin O-ring around the base of the magazine and now no more rattle. This in no way detracts from the value of this pistol. I own many Taurus pistols and they all perform excellently.

VERY well made...Taurus is a very dependable weapon and this pistol is NO exception. Feels and shoots great right out of the box. Buds is always helpful in closing the deal time after time.

This pistol is absolutely phenomenal. I couldn’t be happier with it. Very comfortable in the hand. I’ve put over 500 rounds through flawlessly.

I was reluctant to buy anther Taurus considering my bad past experiences with their quality which is hit and miss. But I can now say, Taurus has improved their quality after the purchase of this TH40. Functionality is excellent and accuracy is not that bad. Very pleased with this purchase. Buds service is excellent as usual.
