Can’t beat Buds! This is a very nice single action revolver. The color case hardening, while not perfect, was much better quality than I expected. Shoots accurately. No complaints or regrets on this purchase.Tough to beat for the price.

smoothest action i've ever had on a new revolver! i had lower expectations given price point on performance. almost always, after first 250rnds or so i drop off my new firearm to my gunsmith to address any dislikes i might have. not this one. if anything, maybe increase trigger pull. i'ts definetly touch n go. color case was where my lower expectations came in. not bad not great but for cowboy action high volume shooting no issue. need to mention how accurate with 38spls it is. 1st 30rnds put a 2 in hole on 2 targets at about 25'. last but very important, pay attention to mfg caution on .357mag loads. keep away from hot loads. i put in 6 rnds of what i considered middle of the road and after 4th shot the hammer and cylinder locked up so tight i did let my smith take care of it. overall, great firearm.

This is a really nice firearm. Very well made...excellent quality and a GREAT shooter...shoots dead on at 25 feet! I'm surprised it can be purchased at this price....it is definitely a bargain!

I LOVE this revolver, but there are some things many people won't like. For starters, I bought this to compare with my Cimarron Pistolero. Long story short, the model P is a far superior gun mechanically. Considering I paid the same price for each, give or take $20, I can not recommend the classic model P enough!
However, if you're looking for an absolute, airtight replica of the original Colts, there may be an issue. I have tried fast, slow, and in between, but I cannot hear 4 clicks on the hammer, only 3.
The pistolero happens to have a much, much weaker spring in the hammer assembly and I do hear 4 distinct clicks, but the model P, with its much stronger mainspring, does not. Maybe some other guns have the 4 clicks, but I swear on my life I have tried every variation and NOT gotten 4 clicks.
For me this is majorly not a deal breaker, as I only want a reliable, fun, daily, life-long range gun that I can have fun with. I like .38 and .357 for its availability and price, which is not historically accurate either.
So, I cannot recommend this gun enough if you want a quality, rugged, beautiful single action for daily shooting. However, if you need a perfect copy of a Colt, I think you might be disappointed by the hammer clicks.

The Model Cimarron MP 401 six shot .357/.38 with a 5.5” barrel is a great shooter. I have two Colt SAAs and this model is a quality reproduction of these Colts. I love the fact that many parts will interchange between these pistols. This is my second time to order this revolver since my daughter wanted my first one. Since I have over ten years of being a Bud’s customer, that means I trust my hard earned money with the products, prices and especially customer service from this great business. Just one beautiful pistol. Completely coated in protective oil insures the finish is perfect! Range time was a dream. Trigger was light and crisp. Action was understandably deliberate but seemed to settle in after a few rounds. Sights were dead on and easy to keep on target. Quite accurate even with White box .38s. Nice balanced heft kept any recoil to a minimum. Easily heirloom quality. My 20th purchase with Buds and as always they are complete pros! This Gun Is absolutely beautiful. The case hardened frame with the blued cylinder makes for a very nice looking gun. It seems made well. Due to its weight it Shoots like a dream even with full load 357 magnum. I would recommend this gun to anyone looking who wants a colt single action but does not want the break the bank to get it.

The pistol is outstanding, and the trigger work and hammer are flawless. I went to an indoor range an fired 50 rounds (38 Spcl., I wasn't up to firing 50 rounds of .357) through the gun last night. This is a great single action revolver. The wood in the grips is impressive, as it the fit and finish of the weapon. The case hardened finish looks great. Three firearms enthusiasts commented on the quality of the look. Superb metal work throughout. Do not hesitate to buy a Cimmaron/Uberti revolver with a factory-tuned trigger because you will not be disappointed. Cimarron, from one Texan to another- I'm your Huckleberry. The transaction went smooth, although I believe Buds is taking too long to follow through on money paid out by e-check. C'mon! The money left my account and was deposited to yours one day after I provided the funds...yet, you claim it takes 5 business days...I am savvy enough with online banking to see where my money goes, and when! It took 10 days to acquire the pistol from the date I paid the money.

This is a nice gun; Cimarron does praiseworthy finishing work. A quick note: as a Colt clone, expect the grips to be a bit on the small side.

Well.....WOW!!!! This beauty arrived at my FFL fast!! (As usual with BUDS, the only place to buy a firearm) It was in an attractive box, in a plastic bag, basted in oil. Wiped her down, took it to the range, put a hundred rounds of .38 and .357 with amazing accuracy, Did I already say WOW? Just a beautifully made reminder of a bygone era.... Fit and finish is awesome, if you want a single action army, this is your huckleberry!!!!!!
