Gun is nice and heavy and the wood stock is in excellent condition. I wish Remington would not put their name on the magazine box and the R on the stock butt. I takes away from the beauty of the gun

Good budget gun. Feels good to hold, but haven’t shot yet. Pretty content with the price point quality.

This is my second 783. After a good initial cleaning I headed for the range. I chose the Federal Non-typical ammo and after sighting in I shot a 3 shot group that had all shots in a small group. (.25 inches) The accuracy of this gun and the other is unmatched. The wood is nice for the price; the gun is a bit heavy but I do not mind. The best value in bolt actions I have found. As usual, the service from Buds was top notch.
