This rifle is done right! Remington finally got their act together! The fit and finish are quite good, the forend, while not as slim as the .357 version, is nowhere near that "baseball bat" thickness of previous 1894s in .45 Colt, the thinner version being something I prefer.

The lever is easy to manipulate, yet it locks securely. The trigger is a bit heavy but smooth. Also, this gun is accurate! Depending on the load, I was getting 0.75" to 3" with factory ammo. I installed a Skinner peep sight as well as the Ranger Point Precision lever and shim kit. After a few more rounds, I'll see what the trigger needs, if anything.

I really like this gun and I'm so glad I got it! The folks at Bud's are so nice and easy to work with.
