This was a great purchase. Gun is fun to shoot and very reliable. Out of the box it was accurate and is a very easy gun to clean. As for Bud's Guns it is a very good company to deal with, gun was at my FFL 3 days after purchase and transaction was very smooth with no problems. Only wish they had a store in my state so I could pick a gun up same day, they have a great selection and their prices are reasonable.

The performance of the gun is really good. Shoot about 200 rounds out of it and it was flawless.

After receiving this gun, I did a quick clean/lube. Reassembly was a nightmare the first time. Took it to the range and the first round misfired. Cleared it, and fired a couple of rounds and it jammed. Had several misfires and jams after that. In all, I probably only got off about 10 rounds before it jammed so bad, that I could not pull back on the slide. When returning home I finally was able to field strip it and clear the jam. I did a much better cleaning and lube and will try again in a couple of days. I'm hoping I failed to clean/lube it well enough the first time. (I used CCI Minimags)

RESPONSE BY BUDS: NO "HIDDEN FEE". WE ADVERTISE A DISCOUNT PRICE FOR CASH, CHECK, AND ACH PAYMENTS ONLY. THIS IS EXPLAINED IN THE LINK BELOW EACH PRICE AND ALSO ITEMIZED DURING THE CHECKOUT PROCESS FOR CUSTOMER REVIEW AND APPROVAL PRIOR TO CHECKOUT. Smith & wesson 22A 4" decent gun for the price. The only negative was that I was charged a hidden fee when purchasing, charged $8-9 to pay with a Visa card. Keep that in mind when comparing prices. Shipping was free an only took about a week to get. The gun right out of the box is not that accurate you will need to adjust. Bought 5 different brands of ammo and all but 1 brand shot problem free. Finding ammo shouldnt be a problem w/ this gun. With the one brand that didnt work well it would have problems ejecting the casing. It would get stuck in the barrel and you would have to pop it out from the other end. The other brands of ammo shot perfectly wether you were firing rapidly or just shooting at a slow pace. Overall for the price its a decent gun to own.

I have the 7" barrel version of this pistol and have put 1800 rounds of CCI mini mag and green tag thru the barrel in the past three months. This pistol will shoot very well for the price but it shoots much better cleaned and lubed. The CCI green tags are a waste of money as the accuracy over the mini mags is a non issue. I use this pistol to relax with after practicing with my CCW. It gives a lot of bang for the buck.

This gun is my first semi auto pistol (have always used only a wheeled handgun before now). I bought it as a practice gun because the ammo is less expensive (I have a 9mm on order). When the gun arrived I field stripped it. It was easier than I expected though beware that if you make a mistake on the assembly you may send the recoil spring flying and then be on a hunt to find it--I made this mistake. After this one hiccup re-assembly was no problem. I cleaned the gun and then applied lub to all moving surfaces. The fit and finish is very good given the price but keep in mind this is not a high end pistol and it does not have the finest of materials as you see on typical S&W's. I put 300 rounds through the gun at the range. The first 150 were CCI Stingers (I could not find MiniMags). Then 150 rounds of Remington Bulk Ammo bought at Wally World. The performance was flawless. After the first magazine I was dialed into the sights and shot more accurately than ever at 15 yards and 25 yards. The gun feels very good in the hand, the slide works well, the single action trigger is smooth, and the accuracy is excellent. From all indications after 300 rounds through the gun the reliability will be outstanding. My expectations for this gun were exceeded. I am very happy with this gun and expect it will provide me many hours of great fun and will help my marksmanship improve.

Very Accurate, Very fun to shoot.but, Make sure that you use High velocity ammo to start with. When I got mine I was very unhappy with it because of the FTF that I had. I was using the bulk ammo from Wally world and found out that I needed better ammo like CCI minimags. After breaking in the gun, it now shoots almost anything including the bulk Federal ammo from WallyWorld This gun does very well on the bulk CCI Blazer 40gr high velocity ammo. Use the Minimag stuff at first and then the cheaper stuff later and you will end up Loving this gun as I do! Enjoy!
