Taurus PT25 .25acp Blue/Gold, Pearl Grips
by Todd H Date Added: Thursday 03 January, 2013
I may as well have taken my money and thrown it out in the street. Right out-of-the-box, this gun was a total piece of junk. It arrived with several scratches on the finish, and the factory magazine did not seat snugly into the mag well. On the first trip to the range, I had to pull the trigger 13 times before the first round went off. Repeatedly, the firing pin would dimple the cartridge but not fire it. I switched ammunition brands and got the same result. When it did randomly choose to fire, the slide would lock back in the next round would not be loaded into the chamber. It was a total disaster and had to send the gun back to Taurus immediately for warranty repair. They fixed it and send it back very quickly, which was nice, with a note that the firing pin lever was bent and had been replaced. This had to have happened prior to the gun arriving in my hands, as it did not operate properly the first time I ever pulled the trigger. Back to the range with the newly repaired gun, it shot accurate from 5 yards out. Anything more than that was quite a challenge, and I am an experienced shooter and constant visitor to the range. I should've spent the little bit extra money and got the S&W Bodyguard .380. Sadly, due to this experience, I will never buy another Taurus firearm again.
