Taurus PT100 40SW 5" Stainless/Gold, Rosewood Grips
by patrick m Date Added: Tuesday 30 October, 2007
Took delivery of this pistol last week. Noticed at delivery that the magazines packaged with the pistol were for a PT92/99 (9mm, not .40-cal). Mailed the two wrong mags back to Taurus for exchange and purchased a Mec-Gar magazine from local Sportco. While familiarizing myself with the pistol and reading the owner's manual, I noticed the de-cocking lever was not working as described (wouldn't drop the cocked hammer on its own, had to also pull trigger while holding lever down). Also noticed that "round in chamber" indicator does not protrude anywhere near like is shown in the manual. Called Taurus (again!) and they're at least picking up the tab to have it sent back to Miami for repair/replacement. No, I haven't even fired a round through it yet! Beautiful gun, but two issues right out'a the box is disheartening, if not enraging!!
