Two range sessions with various ammo so far and it shoots fine. It comes with one choke and instruction manual. The shipment included drop-ship paperwork from Sports South LLC. Styrofoam in box was party busted where the barrel is removed from the box. There was some brown staining on the styrofoam. No scrollwork on receiver except the model info. There was no info on Remington website about this model. I think it may have been manufactured about 2010 based on serial. There was some surface grime (possibly oxidation -- rags came up rusty-brown) that came off with a lot of wiping (surface felt gritty until after a lot of cleanup). Action spring tube was quite dirty/brown and some oxidation on the hex nut. Polymer trigger group. I did not see any oxidation at all inside the receiver or barrel, just some gunpowder residue. Receiver internal surfaces seem clean and smooth. The synthetic stock does not include a metal bearing plate as the dimension for the plate is built into the synthetic stock. I am swapping in a wood stock to dress up the gun and needed to get the plate (about $6) to avoid cracking the wood stock I added. The stock nut (action spring tube nut) on this gun is the newer style 11/16 hex (screwdriver does not work to remove stock -- a socket is needed). Thinking about cerakote for this as the receiver finish is so-so. But, for a relatively low cost, I have an 1100; and it seems easy to find parts. Happy with the purchase; to me it is a diamond in the rough.
