Great gun, love it, I did buy some Wilson combat mags and they do not lock the slide back after the last round, so I just purchased RI 8 round mags as they do lock back after the last round, put some night sites on it, ran 50/60 rounds of all different ammo through it with no issues, fast shipping from Buds.

This is one of the best 1911s for the money. very well made and accurate gun. Bud's was very quick to process and ship the order, and my experience was great as always.

Have only fired a few rounds downrange but functioned fine. Fit and finish are very good but it will need some breaking in as recoil spring is quite robust. Grips it came with are fine but I replaced them with visually appealing textured G10 grips from an Amazon vendor, Cool Hand. As Rock Island is the largest manufacturer of the 1911 plus the lifetime warranty makes this a fine choice under $500 for range use and concealed carry. The real bonus with this purchase was having Buds as the source as they have a fantastic selection to choose from unlike so many others who way more out of stock than in stock. Thanks for the great service.

Shopped for a 1911 for a Long time and buds and the one I wanted at the cheapest price. They delivered it fast to the FFL with no damage.

This is a beautiful gun and shoots extremely well. I have run a few hundred rounds through it without any issue. Highly recommend if you are looking for an inexpensive 1911.

Always wanted to buy a 1911 45ACP, but I didn't want to spend a ton of money! Rock Island Armory is putting out some sweet guns lately and with great pricing! Looking to upgrade to sights to fiber optic, but out of the box shot great!

love the feel. Good solid gun. Great price. Accurate. Problem. The original magazine are crap. Cheap made. Jam action. Had a jam so bad, when I tried to pull the mag out, I pulled the bottom off and all the insides came out. Bought different 1911 mags. Works fine. Don’t buy service issue mags. The standard 7 round mags are too short. Make sure there 8 round mags. The gun 4 stars. Mags 1 star.

Awesome 1911 for the price. This was my first handgun and I really enjoy shooting it. It had some rust issues under the rear sight on the one that was sent from buds. Armscor took it back and sent me a brand new one no issues. Outstanding service and awesome handgun.

Bought one a few years back, and have never had any problems with it, even running cheap ammo and different mags. Its a great affordable 1911!

My first 1911 RockIsland 45 cal got stolen out of my home. So I had to replace it with another one. Still shoots like a dream, got it for a low price and as always fast shipping from Bud's.

I love this gun. it goes bang every time I pull the trigger; no jambs, no stacks, no errors. It's my every-day car carry. Mine has been in the car for at least 3-years with no desiccant, and nothing but an annual action check and wipe-down. So far, no rust or pitting at all, despite the Florida salt air and humidity, and more recently SC humidity. I changed the front sight to green fiber optic, because my eye likes it better, and I changed the perfectly-good double-diamond grips for a set of SOCOM engraved MAGPUL grips. The trigger is well within mil-spec, with no discernible take-up and minimal over-travel. I would buy this 1911 again, no question. dp

This is a very fine pistol for the price range. The machining, fit, and finish are what you usually find on more expensive models. After its first trip to the range, I can say that it is also as accurate, in my hands, as more expensive pistols. I would highly recommend this pistol to anybody.

What can you say, Rock Island Rocks!!!!! Great quality and reasonably priced very nice pistol. Bought another one in 38 Super which I dropped a 9mm barrel into, Rock Island is Rock Solid and great customer service, Buds was great to deal with.

I love the gun it’s beautiful all black I really don’t put the wood handles but I love that they give both options on the handles ��however everytime I put one in the head the bullet gets jam going in the barrel but it shoots the rest of the clip good
