I’ve fired about 300 rounds thru this shotgun so far. Make sure to set the bushings to the type of load you are shooting, light or heavy. For the price, you can’t beat this gun. I carry it in my truck on the farm. Not worried about getting it scratched up as I would one of my high end shotguns.

I don't think I can say anything positive about this shotgun. I'm let down by this product and for me this puts a tarnish on RIAs name as well as Turkish made shotguns in general, which I also have not been impressed with so far.

For the price? It's a steal. Already put 100+ shells of all types through it and it runs great. Sights are pretty accurate and zeroed out of the box for a good 30 yard target. (slugs) The threads on the magazine cap are compatible with Benelli Nova accessories but you will have to remove the lip (you'll feel it)
Takes shotgun cards and small optics easily and cycles literally as fast as you can pull the trigger.
Trigger is a bit stiff out of the box (9#) but lightens up with some use.
Yes, absolutely will buy more / again.

WOW! This shotgun had exceeded my expectations by far. I drove 50 rounds through it with my son in about an hour and had ZERO issues. It was a lighter 2 3/4" target shot also. The recoil was not as bad as some other shotties, not as light as a heavier gun though. This gun is light also. It is a bit long in the foregrip reach. The pistol grip is so comfortable, it helps with the length issue. The stock butt cushion is actually quite soft on the shoulder also. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to remove the charge handle lever so I can fully break it down. Everywhere I've looked says to just pull straight out. But I've tried, and pried, and pulled and struggled with it so far. 5 star gun though.

Great gun for the price. Cycles smooth and feels well built. I haven't shot it yet but it seems everything is in order as far as the mechanisms. I still give it a 5 star because of the price but the forward grip is loose ever so slightly. Doesn't feel like it will effect anything but we will see. Not that big of a deal but maybe it's something future purchasers should look out for. Has everything I want in a fair quality/lower cost shotgun. Looks great. Thanks Buds! Super easy process.

Based on my experience, don’t bet your life on this gun right out of the box.
I was unable to get it to cycle with any 2 3/4” load including 00 Buck.
It would only predictably cycle with 3” field loads.
My total number of rounds so far would be be about 25-30.
The ghost ring rear and plastic bar front sights are usable but I think the front sight is highly likely to be damaged with hard use.
It also appears to have minimal value for resale because I’ve made enquiries once I decided I didn’t wish to keep it.
It certainly hasn’t lived up to my expectations formed by reading the user reviews.
Caveat emptor.

I am very satisfied with the service I received, as well as my purchase of the RIA X4 Semi-Auto Tactical Shotgun.

Item you receive is not the item pictured. Similar, but very different. Comes with a Ghost ring sight, the handguard is not the same, nor are some other little details.Tthe truglo front sight fell out and was lost the first time I took it out to shoot it. This shotgun does not cycle shells well that are not brass rims, I had lots of jams with Winchester Universal shells but I think that was more the ammos fault. For $270.00 it is a good shotgun, it feels good in the hands and performs like it should. I have had no issues with accessories staying mounted to either of the picatinny rails. I have seen a lot of confusion on this shotgun on the internet due to the fact there are multiple versions with slight differences. If you receive the model I received, both pistons are already pre installed on the tube and need to stay there for the gun to function properly. This version does not have the plastic buffer piece. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for this being a sub $300.00 shotgun that functions well, feels solid, and looks great.

Excellent experience all the way around. Quick shipping and great service from Buds as usual. Cleaned her up and ran an assortment of 2 3/4 shells through her with no problems. Really nice firearm at a great price - Highly recommended.

Although I have not yet had the opportunity to shoot this I will review it based on initial impressions. Fit and Finish look good; and the lightweight is ideal for weapons manipulation. The gun functions smoothly without and hang-ups. Looking forward to getting this out on the range.

First of all... the rating is NOT for Bud's.... I have ordered 5 guns from them and all sales and transactions went smoothly. The 2 stars is on this shotgun, and Bud's has a nice disclaimer saying firearm pictured may not be the same as one you receive. Very true !!! The shotgun I received is totally different than the one pictured !!! It is a Lion imported from Derya Arms in Turkey (This is a good thing- Derya Arms makes great firearms) and it is NOT from RIA.... it is from Armscor. I researched the Lion X4 for a month before purchase. I did not receive a Lion X4. This came in a plain white box completely assembled. It is brand new and doesn't appear to have be fired but is was assembled. Very odd. Upon disassembling BOTH the magnum piston and the light load piston are installed on the mag tube???? There is no plastic buffer between them? All the videos I watched shows the plastic buffer. I have not shot it yet. Don't dare to until I get some answers and multiple calls to manufacturer are unanswered. The vented choke tube is totally different then the one pictured. Has rear peep instead of the two dot dovetail that gets rave reviews. The peep is ok and adjustable but very disappointed it is NOT the one described. So be careful when ordering. Still cheap money for a tac semi that I am sure will function reliably but DEFINITELY is not the shotgun I wanted.

i have not yet shot this gun just like the other 15 to 20 guns i have bought brand new from buds. the guns i have have bought are what they say they are.

This turned out to be a much nicer shotgun than we expected at this price and I would buy another one. Great service and price from Bud,s Gun Shop.

The shotgun I bought seems to beu a really well made gun. The instructions and assembly directions are so poor that they were nearly useless. I had to contact the Importer to clarify how the gun was to be put together for use. Bud's gave me no assistance after I took possession. I was greatly disappointed in after the sale service.

I have not shot this gun yet, but I will soon do so. I have watched videos of it and it appears to be reliable. When I first received this shotgun, upon taking it out of the box, it is like a far more expensive gun. The box, the packaging, the very appearance were, "Well done. Worth the money...easily" is what I had and have to say. My brother just received his also and was equally impressed. We will go blasting soon.

So far so good. The gun came with a full set of clearly marked chokes as well as the muzzle brake. Has both light and heavy load gas pistons, and make sure you lube them a lot or the gun will not cycle reliably, if at all. I'm used to bolt actions, pumps and 1911s, old designs that don't need or respond well to excessive lubrication. Slight adjustment required. After cleaning, inspecting, and a good bit of head-scratching, I finally just slammed the light piston back in dripping in CLP (as was the mag tube) and lo: gun ran flawlessly! Sights are right on and very easy to pick up, and it's a very soft-shooting 12ga. For my first autoloading shotgun, I couldn't be more pleased. The small magazine was my only concern, but I have a Benelli Nova/SuperNova +2 mag. tube extension that fits perfectly and doesn't extend beyond the muzzle. All that's required to install is stripping the gun, degreasing the mag tube and donning heavy leather gloves to get good traction, then unscrew the tube. With the old spring removed you can file off the ledge that retains the spring seat on the end of the tube, then screw on the extension, install the new spring and you're done. You now have 6+1. Extremely happy with this purchase, and this is the cheapest shotgun of it's type and ga. on the market. I've also got the Rock Island Armory M1911A1 5-inch Tac. 2 in .45ACP , love that thing and am quickly becoming a fan of RIA/Armscor weaponry.

Just took my X4 out to the range today. Shot a couple of boxes of slugs through it. No problems, very comfortable for shooting slugs. Impressive accuracy. Had seen reviews online showing the shotgun with a two dot rear sights. That’s what attracted me to the X4. Mine came with a rear ghost ring. Still like it.

Bud's Gun Shop has always been the go to store. When I ordered my Rock Island X4 Shotgun on Saturday, I received it by the next Wednesday. I liked the solid look and feel of the X4 very much. Not real heavy as most shotguns. But, I don't see that as much of a problem, for I am 280 lbs..
